How it began
In 2006, Ron and Mark and another individual dreamed of opening a catering/rental business. At that time, they had nothing to work with; they all pitched in money, time and effort and started their vision. They purchased their first tent, a blue and white 20x40, and had a pig roaster built from scratch. Though they did not have any formal business paperwork filed, they agreed to test the waters with friends and family. They helped their friends and family with their parties by letting them use their tent and cooking with them. They continued to build their inventory with additional purchases of commercial cooking equipment and throughout the rest of that year helped many people with their events.
As 2007 came along, the three men decided that this was something they loved to do and that they should build a business plan and make it an official partnership. There were several meetings and several parties of their own where friends and family encouraged them to launch their planned business. Around this same time, it was discovered that one of the partners had other ideas and the partnership started to fall apart. Almost overnight, their vision, dream and partnership were destroyed. For two of the partners, their investments were gone and never recovered.
For several years after that, Mark and Ron continued to talk about what was their dream and what they would do if they were ever to start out again. These were tough times, they had been burned and were shy about launching their own plan and most of all, they again had nothing to start with. The vision and dream never died and they continued to discuss their past bad experiences with other places they had rented from. They knew if they were ever to do it again, they would take those bad experiences and turn them into the driving force to make their business stand out.
