Thank you for inviting me and providing this wonderful opportunity for our community.
As our 7th Annual Princess Ball comes to a close this year, we hope it was a special time for you. We hope the memories made will last a long time. We love seeing all the girls dressed up and all the fun dancing they do.
Every year it takes a lot of work and planning, but we so look forward to putting this event on. Even though our name may be at the top of the event, we couldn’t do this without the help of some incredible people in our community. Wayne Andrews (Yoknapatawpha Arts Council) David Narron (Oxford Floral), Kimberly Bumgardner (The Mustard Seed Antique Mall), Danny Klimetz (Danny K Photography) and Tyson "DVDJ Hype" Phillips have supported this every year since year one. We’ve had other businesses, churches and people help out through the years like Home Depot, Holli’s Sweet Tooth, Sweet T’s Bakery, Elizabeth Heiskell, Jay Hughes, First Baptist Church, The Orchard Oxford and others. We could not have done this year’s Princess Ball without the help of Great Clips, R & R Cookies,LLC, On A Roll Gourmet Egg Rolls, Magnolia Rental, Austin Dillon Photography, Robyn Tannehill, Christine Electra Williamson ,Armintie Price Herrington, Davita Watkins, Hardie Meeks, Pat Ward and about 25-30 college student volunteers each night. Thank you to all of these people and the businesses that see the value in this event. I really think we can all do more together. Too often in our society today we focus on the things that divide us and not the things that unite us. The Princess Ball is a great event that unites people and that’s why we love it so much.
We have another event on February 28. It’s a Date Night Comedy Event. Let’s face it, relationships are hard today. We want to come along side you and try to help. This event on February the 28 could be a transformational event in your relationship. I hope you will join us on that Thursday night at the Oxford Conference Center at 7pm. You can get tickets at www.oxfordarts.com.
In closing, our team here at CFA is not perfect, we are going to make mistakes; but we do love serving our community. We truly want to have a positive impact on everyone we come into contact with. Thank you for allowing us to serve this community.
