HELLO LUMPIA LOVERS!!!

We have a very special treat for you!

One of my favorite all time bakeries is Porto’s, because, DUH, I’m Filipino.

If you’ve ever gone to Porto’s on a weekday, on a weekend, or during a holiday, you’ll see tons of Filipinos going in line and buying hundreds of dollars worth of Porto‘s baked goods.

One thing in particular that’s on their list, that they buy dozens and dozens and dozens of, is their cheese rolls and their guava rolls.

I have gone to Porto’s as late as Christmas Eve and I will stand in line and I know that for my own household, I’ve purchased about four or five dozen of these cheese rolls. And that’s just 1 of many items I buy.

My Husband, on his own, can eat a whole dozen for himself.

We haven’t had cheese rolls from Porto’s in a while, but I learned how to make them in a pinch, so I wanted to offer this to all of you!

I will be limiting the amount of cheese rolls that I will be offering. I’m probably only going to bake something like 25-30 dozen.

Pick up for these cheese rolls will be available on December 23-25th in the morning.

I’m taking orders now. Let me know because the cut off for orders will be on December 22nd 3 PM.

Hello Lumpia Lovers!!!

We will be at Portside for the Parade of Lights with Santa Claus!!!

❓PARADE OF LIGHTS - Portside

🗓️ FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13th 3:30 - 8:00PM

📍PORTSIDE VENTURA HARBOR - 1196 Portside Drive, Ventura Harbor, Ventura, CA 93003

The Market by the Sea Pop-Up starts at 3:30 & ends at 8 PM, but the Parade of Lights is 6-8:30 PM.

That being said, please arrive EARLY for parking and a great spot to watch the event.

Don’t forget there is also a giveaway happening, so please follow & follow the contest rules to enter.

We will have our own booth & we hope you’re ready to take photos with Santa!

Photos with Santa will be by donation, & we take our donations & use that money directly to benefit the community!

This year we have decided to partner up with a non-profit that works with local farm workers & their families.

We will create a separate post talking about that. And we are excited to share this new partnership because we hope it lasts for years to come!

So, save the date & be ready to come by on Friday, to say hello to us & sit on Santa’s lap!

Last time we ran out of food!!!

I did not expect that many people would be there. I knew there would be plenty, but it was ABSOLUTELY INSANE in the best possible way!

I met so many people… former and current clients, but also made a ton of new clients as well.

Many of the connections I made were so amazing & both my assistant & I had tons of fun!

I will continue to take names down for my 15th Anniversary Raffle & the winner(s) will be getting something really nice for the holidays for their table!

Come by & say “Hello” & grab a bite to eat!

Also, ourvery special guest, Santa Claus, will be at our booth 12-2 PM to make an early Christmas appearance.

Photos are free with purchases of $25 or more.

For those wanting photos with Santa will be a suggested donation of $10. A portion of our fees go to Food Share of Ventura County.

Hello Lumpia Lovers!!!

We are continuing our efforts of supporting those who have had devastating loss in our community, especially so close to the holidays.

Please share this with those that need our help in this community.

This week, pick-ups are scheduled for Thursday, November 14th from 3-6 PM

Please text me at (805)889-3177 to register for a FREE Family Meal.

Since I own a very, very small business, at this time I can only afford to do this one day a week, and although it’s a small gesture, I hope this can relieve the stress of having to pay for a meal for at least a handful of families.

As someone who worked in local government, I have seen first hand all that goes into the rebuilding & recovery of a home burning to the ground.

It is daunting, stressful & overwhelming when you don’t even know where to start.

Not only do most of these families rely on the kindness of their family & friends, they end up using up their savings & often have to move out of the area in order to survive long term.

Some may never come back because rebuilding is impossible, or not covered by insurance even when they think this is covered by their homeowners insurance.

Please be kind & understand that there are thousands of our local residents that have been affected by these losses, even if they didn’t lose a home.

Those supporting loved ones deserve understanding & kindness as well.

Let’s do our part in helping our community & citizens that were directly affected.

Hello Lumpia Lovers!!!Good Morning & Happy Turon Thursday! Don’t forget that we will be at the Dia De Los Mu***os Celebration at Oxnard Performing Arts Center on Saturday, November 2nd from 4-9 PM.This will be our first pop-up back from a much needed month long break & we are excited because we want to continue celebrating (and not just grieving) the patriarch of our family, my Dad, Danilo Masaya.I’m not gonna lie, my Dad’s death is still very fresh to me, and now that he is gone, it really solidifies the fact that I no longer have any living parents. And regardless of my age, I still need my parents, but their memories will have to go for now. I hope that you will join us at this beautiful community event. Many people may not realize it, but Filipinos also have their version of the Day of the Dead & it coincides as “All Saints/All Souls Day”. I have made ofrendas of my own & enjoy the process of creating these elaborate alters. Hopefully, in the coming years I can actually participate in creating a public alter. Please come & bring your family, friends & invite acquaintances who would enjoy this community event. Come to our booth, say hello & grab some yummy food! Don’t forget, we have options for EVERYONE as it is our business’ mission to be as inclusive as possible because EVERYONE belongs!

BTS of setting up the 11th annual Banana Festival.

I was so impressed with everyone involved. I saw first hand just what some of the work that it took in planning this amazing & FREE community event!

There are so many moving parts of a production of this scale. Just watching what was involved on Friday night, as my hubby & I we’re setting up, was IMPRESSIVE.

Lisa & Randy Latimer had their hands full, but they did it with so much professionalism & grace.

There are so many hiccups that can happen in planning events, but having a solution-oriented mindset & a team to depend on is super important & essential.

I’m proud of the goal Port of Hueneme has for creating a completely EMISSION FREE event by 2030!

As someone who believes in green resources & renewable energy, this makes my nerdy, science-loving heart so happy!

I hope those of you that attended had a great time & made some new memories w/family, friends & community.

And for those that stopped by to support my humble little business, and/or said “Hello”, I appreciate you!

I even saw some very important people in my life that I hadn’t seen in a while, like my God Father, Joe, and his beautiful family.

It warms my heart & soul to be part of an amazing event like the Banana Festival, & I’m so grateful for Lisa, who insisted I be part of this event.
