A favorite for our community is back! Beginning Sewing Camp July 15th-18th for ages 13-18! Come learn how to use a sewing machine and complete several projects during this one week camp. IchigoCon 2024 is moving to Camarillo! Due to forces outside of our control , the OPAC team has decided to move IchigoCon 2024 and take over the entire SCI Arts () campus in Old Town Camarillo. We received a generous $8000 grant from the Barbara Barnard Smith Fund for World Music, which will support OPAC’s "Arts Exposure Program". This program integrates professional touring artists of various backgrounds/ disciplines to augment and enhance classroom learning. By bringing unique performances, perspectives, activities, lessons, and projects, artists share their passion, creativity, expertise, culture, and enthusiasm for the field with thousands of Oxnard Union High School students. The program also includes workshops for students studying art, music, dance, and theater as well as assemblies for the general student body that tie the arts and school goals together.

Last week, the County of Ventura issued a proclamation designating April as “Arts, Culture + Creativity Month” and invited OPAC and artists featured in our last few exhibitions at the Mexican Consulate to be a part of this important event. Thank you to artists Benita Martinez Sosa, Horacio Martinez, Elisa Torres, and Christian Ramirez, Ambassador Santana and Consul Cid Davila for joining us in this honor. And special thanks to the County Supervisors for recognizing the incredible value arts and arts nonprofits bring to the health and vibrancy of our community. We are proud of our work to cultivate artistic spaces that uplift and empower individuals from all walks of life.

Since 1968, the PACC has hosted thousands of performances reaching more than 3 million people. Outstanding Broadway musicals, prominent guest speakers, musical acts and plays have all graced the center’s stage.
The PACC also boasts eight additional meeting rooms and includes a combination of distinctive features that makes the center the ideal complex for business meetings, trade shows, seminars and many other events.
