This year took us from Austin to Indianapolis for some beautiful weddings! We are now booking a limited number of weddings/special events for 2024 - but hurry while we still have dates available!

It’s the last day of Pride. We have seen corporations who refuse to stand with us at the ballots, show up year round when my community is under attack and be a true ally in every way possible profit off of the backs of Q***r folx.

Meanwhile Q***r businesses are hurting. Sales are down and many are fading away because of corporate greed and false allyship. We are pro q***r, pro drag artist and pro love here in every aspect. If you aren’t that way it’s against our beliefs - and that is now protected by the Supreme Court… right?

Companies have been given the green light for Q***r folx to be refused services because of who they are and who they love. Heterosexuals can go anywhere, be themselves anywhere, love whoever, hate whoever freely. Let this be known; I will cater to the q***r community because we need some spaces since they continue to dissolve by rich, white heterosexuals.

Q***r couples will now receive a discounted rate through Amoureux - because we love you and see you.

I have dialed back services so only doing a handful of weddings each year. If you need us, get us on the books now!

Fun fact: this ceremony was supposed to take place outside but it was raining *so much* that we could barely see the mountains. That didn’t stop our crew from creating something magical. This color scheme is one of my favorites to date + what a beautiful wedding party.

Attacks on our community continue in Arkansas…

SB 43 was filed by Gary Stubblefield and Mary Bentley. These are both people who publicly discriminate against the LGBTQ+ community, women’s rights advocates, minorities, etc. They call my community “groomers” for living authentically, expressing their creativity, and trying to find joy in the hostile world that their Republican neighbors have created for us in Arkansas.

I have been a shoulder to cry on, support system and advocate for countless people who have been sexually assaulted by men in our state. These men were not drag queens. They were family members, church leaders, school leaders, powerful men in communities tokened as “good people” who were just lost. Yet here we are again, those same predators supporting a bill that makes us out as the bad person.

Going to drag library hours, family pride events, parades, etc. were things I wish I saw growing up. I didn’t. I was sheltered in my small town in Arkansas. I didn’t see a drag queen until I was in college. It was a moment where I felt seen. I felt that I could be myself and even in the hostility of being pushed away from my family, disowned, financially cut off, traumatized, I could find happiness. It was a way to escape the world that was around me.

But that would give too much power to our LGBTQ+ youth, right? That’s what it is about… power. It’s not about the sexualization of these queens. They are more covered than any Ho***rs waitress, lifeguard, twin peaks employee, athlete in the gym, pageant kid, etc. Why are they the only ones being sexualized? Fear that people may actually see this and be inspired to live authentically too?

Amoureux was created partly due to lack of representation in the q***r community, and bills as such prove why we did it. We continue to have to jump over hurdles that others do not, but because we are q***r and TRYING to live our life authentically.

We only have one life. If you live yours trying to govern how we live ours, that is pathetic and says more about me than you.
