In Jan. 2015 we were asked to cater a last minute shotgun wedding. We weren’t ask because we were caterers or new what we were doing. We were asked because the photographer new some ladies who could cook and could possibly pull it off. 😬We all pitched in as a family, and with prayers and a miracle we were able to do just that. 🙌🏻 We had a blast working together and enjoyed getting paid for what we love to do (eat, cook, and crash weddings )!😅 That very first wedding sparked another and another. This continued until the Wooden Spoon was born in 2017. What a joy and pleasure it has been to serve all of you for 8 1/2 years! We have made so many friends and have learned so much over those years. We are SO grateful for all of your love, support, and business!!!
With that being said, we regret to announce that as of 12/31/2023 will no longer operate as the Wooden Spoon. If you are on our books already, don’t worry one bit! We look forward to taking care of you just as we have discussed. 😊
We absolutely love to cater and will continue to cater on a friends and family basis only.
I’m sure many of you are wondering why and it’s a simple answer… family. Our part-time side hustle started to turn into a full time job and it was never intended to be. We found ourselves not being able to be there for them as much as we wanted to be.
Again, we are SO GRATEFUL for all of the love and support we have been blessed with over the years! We appreciate your understanding and we look forward to continuing serving our friends and family on a lower scale! 🧑🍳
