An Introduction to the Mermaid World
Mermaid Rachel is offering a workshop at in May!
Have you ever wanted to dip your fins into the exciting world of swimming in a mermaid tail? Now is your chance! Join instructor Rachel Smith; Head Mermaid at the Dive Bar in Sacramento, as she gives you her trade secretes on tail swimming, safety and the basics of professional and recreational mermaiding.  The class will feature 30 min of lecture/dry work, and 60 min of in water work.

Mermaid Rachel feels so fortunate and loved to have had the opportunity to have swam at the under the guidance of MeduSirena] and the talented . To be a part of the show that put the on the map was thrilling, challenging and so special. It feels a little like a fever dream.
Marina is unmatched as an underwater entetainer. We cannot emphasize enough how difficult it is so look absolutely smooth, graceful and effortless...there are VERY few who can do what she does. And her humor is glorious! The entire mermaid community not only owes a debt to her for being one of the first innovators of this art form, but she is a keeper of our history as well. We all have a lot to learn from this multi talented performer. Often imitated (badly), never replicated, Marina is a shining example to all of us; not only in the water, but in how to persevere, and conduct yourself with kindness and grace in the face of unending adversity.
Being at the historic and swimming in the show that kept the hotel running was an incredible honor. Mermaid Rachel learned a lot about her underwater craft, herself and got a big dose of humility. She is so very greatful to everyone who made this trip possible, and especially her mom and dad for supporting her the entire way.

Looks fun!

Hey Sacramento peeps! I'm going to be doing my LED dance show this Saturday evening at 5pm, at the Ooley Theater. It's going to be a really fun, kid-friendly show. We've got Fairy Blossom from Pixie Tribe doing giant bubbles, Mermaid Rachel from Mermaid and Mom doing mermaid hula, and my uber high-tech LED light dance show to round out the night. In-person tickets are VERY Limited, so get yours now before they sell out!

If you can't make it in person, the show will be live-streamed so you can watch from home. Check the link in the comments for tickets.

This is going to be a great show -- we've got some of the best kid's entertainers in the Sacramento area on the lineup. Help us bring more magic to Sacramento!

We are so excited to share this set with you! We recently shot with for Mermom Laurie's birthday and Mother's Day gift. And boy was it wonderful. These images will always be a special, happy memory for us, and we were so fortunste to be able to be shot by with our hula sister Lo**ta!

Thinking about lots of things today. The mermaid community, in the US, on K Street. And how folks choose to act. To treat others as human, or to act inhuman themselves.
