Why is a Professional DJ so important?

Have you never noticed that when attending a wedding reception, that people will spend hundreds of dollars
on decorations, a cake, food, all done by professionals and yet the DJ is a first cousin named "Billy Bob" with a laptop and two speakers?? That is because people have the wrong idea about what a DJ is supposed to be and do!
