A lot of times after a funeral service, family members will take flowers out of the casket spray to save. In this case, family members wanted to have enough to make little bouquets. So, we did the 2 main pieces in artificial. It's okay to use artificial. Some families use the casket spray as a tombstone saddle once the funeral is over and the stone is set.
When selecting flowers for your loved one, be sure to consider whether you want fresh or artificial. A lot of the artificial is so pretty and looks real. And if you aren't sure, we are here to help.

Dear Customers,
Tomorrow, on Monday, June 10, 2024, we will be closed in the morning to give us a chance to attend Nancy Knoblett's funeral, out of respect and honor of the once owner of The Rocking Horse.

Guess it had to give out sometime. Cooler was purchased in January 2001. Finally gave out and couldn't be repaired in April of this year. Now we will clean up, fix the plaster, do some painting and see about a replacement. Thank goodness we bought a 2nd cooler 2021.

There are 4 significant dates in my career that I keep track of.
1. The year I started working in the flower business.
2. The year that The Rocking Horse opened.
3. The year I started working at The Rocking Horse.
4. The year we purchased The Rocking Horse.

On April 1, 2009, we purchased The Rocking Horse. It has been 15 years, which seems so impossible. Things have changed quite a bit since then. Just compare the 2 pics of Reese, Resa and I.
So to celebrate this milestone, we will be having 15% discounts on regularly priced items this week. This will be a cash & carry sale. And it will not include special made, ordered or delivered items, furniture or trees.
