tomorrow night we will be outside saying Merry Christmas and handing out candy canes (till their gone) between 630ish and 8 pm.

what a fun night We celebrated a granddaughter turning 5 tomorrow with a new song in lights done for her ( and cakes and presents of course) then, had friends stop by (and rang the bell so we knew) to watch the lights, and a car full of ladies sang "We wish you a Merry Christmas" to me

I love the lights and enjoy watching them myself but when others share in the joy it makes it great and worth the chaos that seems to happen every November with the lights

so, that wind is so bad! the rain and wind overnight and this morning did created some issues. So our mega tree won't look right tonight for sure. The wind pulled part of it out and as long as it stays windy we don't want to redo it and put to much tension on the strips. So the show will be running but some what quirky.

Still plan on having some different songs tonight

sometimes the light show doesn't like the rain. tomorrow might be interesting. At this point we still plan on having a show but it might decide itself to turn off

so the second set of songs will be showing on Sunday evening. there will be some old favorites and at least one new song. I am still trying to work out kinks so we'll see how far I get but they will be up so that I can find The kinks LOL

I will try to post the song selections working down into the 2 days on Sunday

the show is working with very few (some you might not even notice) glitches! The new controller is wonderful and so tonight (Saturday) and the show runs till 11 pm. Next week some time there will be a second set of songs to play on different days. I will update when I get it done.

meanwhile, we hope you enjoy the show!

the p panel (for videos) is up and working correctly (at least for now lol) The road arches are working sometimes but we had a pixel catch fire (rare issue) today so you might see something else not quite right. But so thankful to my husband for his hard work and getting the videos up!

well, we tried hard today. we had many steps forward but a controller that's failing. There are lights on and music on (90.9) but it freezes some and some things will not be right. We've ordered a new piece of equipment from a vendor who's close to Florida so hopefully it will be quicker!

The last 10 days have been so much lighting work. We spent all last weekend in Orlando helping a friend work on their lights. Then worked on some things inside during the week but outside all day yesterday. We are in the process of getting a new roof so lots going on but hopefully if you live close by you have noticed the start of our house and a road arch. We will not be doing everything -too much to do and way behind BUT a show is in progress!

We have been pretty quiet recently and that's partly because of what's going on here. We have had a lot of changes on our street recently and some coming for our house. that said WE WILL have a Christmas show but nothing for Halloween and the Christmas show is going to be different. We won't be having many houses, and because of some work that's planned for our house it may not be all of our house done the way we would normally.

I'm sure some of you are disappointed and know that I am also but we will still do our best to make the show something to come see!

Hey guys,
Tonight (Thursday 12/15) the show will be on roughly 5:45-9:00. We are shutting down an hour early to do some testing.

Over the last 5-6 years we have had a block party with/for our neighbors. mostly as a time to gather together but also as a thank you for all the work (and traffic issues.)

This year we want to invite you! We will not be closing down the road for a "block party" but we will be outside, handing out candy canes, having hot chocolate if the weather warrants it and a very special new SURPRISE. There is something I have wanted for 4.5 years for our show and it was on sale Cyber Monday and hubby bought it for me (us/you guys)

So join us, Sunday night 18th between 630 and 830 ! We hope to meet/see many of you!

last night hubby and a neighbor were working on getting that house added in to the show. if you came by and saw it Every thing was in test mode but hopefully tonight it will be synced to the music

it's looking pretty good here. We are smaller this year than the last several but still multiple houses to see. We worked out some kinks today and get a few more of the songs updated to this new layout. we will be doing some again tomorrow and hopefully by Friday night all the kinks are worked through.

Lights come on nightly just a bit after dusk and go until approximately 10 pm.

my husband is an amazing man! Not just because he works literally thousands of hours on our lights but today, part of what I am talking about is lights I had a ladies event tonight and when I returned home we had lights testing! There is issues and we will be working on them likely for a couple of days but we had lights!

And even more importantly than that... in the midst of all this work and chaos he spent time to stop and enjoy them with some neighbor kids and his granddaughter.

I am thrilled that you get to see the fruits of some of his hard work but I'm truly blessed to get to see (and live it) all. Thanks !

We got a lot done yesterday again, thanks to our daughters, son-in-law, son-in-law to be, and a neighbor. we didn't get everything up but I believe we can start testing before Thanksgiving which is important.

not a lot of "new" progress yesterday but we got everything back up that came down because of Nicole and on Friday we had my longest friend and hubby come help and got some "new" done.

Next Saturday is a big day. Hope to have most everything out/up so we can start testing because things move every year and we add/delete things this means we have to check to verify it is addressed properly.

well, first so thankful we are safe, my local kids are safe, my GA kids are doing well but still in the midst of some tornado warnings.

second we hope all of you are safe and your family is safe

we lost power but it was just restored! we lost se shingles but our roof is old and it doesn't appear to have caused leaking so counting it all blessings.

we did have to undo about 15 man hours of work and will be working to try and put things back but weay not make my target date. we will keep you posted!

So thankful for our daughter, son in law, son in law to be, and a ex neighbor helping today. we made some good progress and I was able to share the lights with an out of state friend for the first time today.

Also a thank you to those of you that have expressed seeing the lights and enjoying them so far this season. It helps!

The Halloween light show will be playing this weekend. 4 songs so repeats pretty frequently and you can always push the button and watch from the bench. Lights are on from approximately 7-10 through Sunday.

well we have lights! it isn't everything we (I?) wanted up for Halloween but so thankful for having lights up and very little stress this week !
