To be able to share my culture and traditions with the world is an HONOR -and to be able to share them with family and friends during your own wedding is SACRED!! Just one of the many reasons that I receive so much joy and take pride in producing and events for clients around the world.

I am half Jamaican 🇯🇲, half Liberian 🇱🇷 with many close friends of diverse backgrounds 🌎 and married to a man that is Bermudian 🇧🇲 -at our in 2016 approx 15-20% of the guests were Liberian but ALL 160+ of the guests were on the Dance floor during the Grand March!

The way my company is structured with various brands, you can imagine that no 2 days- 2 months - nor 2 years are alike! AS amazing as 2022 was for destination weddings, corporate and social events PLUS speaking engagements - this year is simply shaping up to be full of the unexpected and one of the best ever for so many reasons that I can't wait to share!​​​​​​​​

Let's start with this one: I'm thrilled to be serving as the 2023 Director of Programs - At Large, for the brand new chapter​​​​​​​​

My most recent leadership role in a wedding organization was in New Jersey, where I lived full time up until 2019 when the official expansion to Palm Beach happened. Now I have the best of BOTH worlds! Since that "very interesting year" aka 2020 - 2022, we've certainly been out there networking and becoming established in this long-beloved territory! ​​​​​​​​

Clearly I’m an EXTROVERTED INTROVERT because although some may perceive me as quiet, I’m actually just quietly observing and If there’s one thing you know I’m gonna do…it’s NETWORK!

I was recently on a panel discussing “Networking for Growth” and I was able to share some of the ways that I’ve been able to grow my business to one that has a world-wide reach.

I’ve likely met the majority of my connections through Networking Events, Conferences, Association Memberships, Putting Myself Out There and/or Connections that have been made between other colleagues because I’m constantly doing ALL OF THE ABOVE! But the 🔑 key to having a strong network is not to keep them in your back pocket for personal gain, but to actually BE a connector yourself! Relationships are not one sided.

Think of networking like a web that you weave for support. I won’t use a spider web as an analogy ‘cause spiders are sneaky, 🕷😅, but rather -how about the loft net that’s on a catamaran! It’s made of high strength material, woven together and serves multiple purposes. While it may be everyone’s favorite place to lay and look good for the ‘gram while basking in the sun, the main purposes are to reduce weight and to allow water to pass through when the bow enters waves, helping the catamaran from flipping over. 🤔

✨So ponder on that one as we sail into another great week of networking events ahead! Speaking of- I really enjoyed attending this recent here in where I was able to chat with other business owners at ALL levels within the South Florida including Vayola Jean-Baptiste, the fabulous venue owner of (swipe to meet and this fab space for events) who I first met at an educational workshop by back in 2017 and the also well-connected photographer who I ran into and had dinner with at yet another networking event in Boca the very next night!

So, called last week and just as I always do with my clients (and all potential couples during consultations) - I was super honest and able to shed light on the very important conversation of wedding budgets!

The number of guests you plan to invite has a very direct correlation to the overall wedding budget and how much money to properly allot to each area. As a ripple effect of the pandemic, yesterday’s price is nowhere near todays price that we pay for flowers, rentals, labor, food and more! The prices are only going UP!

As I would never typically share openly about what our individual clients have spent on their weddings & events (we keep this confidential), I do provide average budgets of our clientele collectively from the very beginning so that every client that considers our services is prepared to either readjust the budget, the guest list, or the expectation in relation to the design.
