What if that opportunity to perform on stage included singing a duet with a professional Artist who is there to guide you and make you shine? Artists for a Cause is excited to announce the 2nd annual “Singing with the Stars” to be held at StarStruck Theatre in Stuart on Friday, February 20, 2015. The fundraising event promises to be a spectacular evening of entertainment, designed to uncover some
of the hidden singing talent on the Treasure Coast. Along the lines of “The X Factor” and “The Voice,” the Singing with the Stars event has a twist—pairing “unsung” community leaders with professional singers. Each duo will select a song, practice and prepare and then compete on stage where a panel of esteemed judges will determine the winners by considering not only their singing ability but also their fundraising ability.
“Every performer loves to be on stage,” said Barber. This event is a great way to connect with talented individuals in Martin County who have a love of singing but have spent their time doing it in their cars or showers but never had the thrill of being on a real stage performing in front of a live crowd.”
In its second year, this event is a signature fundraiser for the nonprofit Artists for a Cause. Amateur singers will be chosen through an open application process. Sponsorship opportunities are available and tickets will be sold through The StarStruck Theatre after the New Year. For more information visit www.a4ac.org, call 772-419-8778, email [email protected].
