I have been cooking professionally since 2000, when I started as a Line cook at age 18 in Salt Lake City, Utah, where I grew in my Culinary Career developing my knowledge of Cuisines and Wines over the past 22 years. I have studied under a great many Culinary Giants, Master Chefs and Sommelier’s. I have been very fortunate to have learned all aspects of the Kitchen with a “from scratch m
entality”, Farm to table, Vegan, Baking, Pastries, Fine Dining, Banquettes, High volume to small intimate Kitchens and Wine Dinners. I have held positions of Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef and Chef de Pratie in various Restaurants and Hotels such as Hilton, Embassy suites, Sheraton, I helped open a very successful high end Whiskey bar call Whiskey Street in the heart of Salt Lake City, I am steeped in French, Italian, Latin, American and now Japanese cuisines. I first moved to Pensacola, FL in 2018 and fell in love with the state, where I learned to roll Sushi as a Private Chef for the past 3 years and counting, bringing a bit of influence from everything I have learned to your table and experience with Mamoy Sushi. The name Mamoy Sushi comes from the Dominican term of endearment Mamoy which means Amor, the first ingredient that goes into all our food and leads me to Introduce my assistant, business partner and wife,
