The Tavera Foundation is a charitable organization established on 2006 to memorialize the life of Jose Dolores (Sal) Tavera, a natural born leader, a passionate soccer player and coach, a visionary entrepreneur, and the Founder and First President of the Antelope Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; who passed away in January 2006. Tavera was a civic-minded person who was actively involved in the Hispanic business community, and who supported local businesses and valued community service.
