It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the permanent closure of RSM’s walkthrough attraction.

The yard display will continue though!

We have had 2 years without the walkthrough, one was a planned break while I finished a degree program that was necessary for my career. The other as you know was due to COVID.

Unfortunately, it appears that COVID is on the rise. For those who don’t know, I am a nurse. The hospital I work at has gone from zero COVID patients to more than an entire floor of the hospital. I have friends at other hospitals. I am hearing that COVID tents are being setup again. We cannot in good conscience be the site of a super spreader event, so we have decided to not do the walkthrough again this year.

What you probably don’t know is that we spend several thousands of dollars a year to store the show and spend 3 months setting it up and a month taking it down. We do it because we love it and love your reactions when you visit us. With this being year three without a show we just can no longer justify storing the show. It is too costly.

We will have a great yard display in October and of course will find a safe way to offer treats for trick or treating on Halloween.

We will have an awesome display so please keep an eye on the page for when we will be open for viewing!

This has been very emotional for us as it brings us so much joy and we know how much you love the show, but we just can’t do it anymore.

Midsummer Scream is thrilled to introduce an all-new pop-up experience this summer - Awaken the Spirits!

Taking place August 14-15, 2021 at the Pasadena Convention Center, the event will feature more than 200 spooky vendors, live entertainment, and presentation stages where news and information regarding the coming Halloween season will be announced from groups including LA Haunted Hayride, Delusion, Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest, Wi******er Mystery House, and more!

Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday, June 16 at: https://midsummerscream.org/awaken/
