We welcomed our little buddy Emmett on January 8th! We are all doing well, just trying to figure out what our new normal is. He really loves being awake at 2 am lol I’m still adjusting to that. We can’t wait for our friends to meet him! He’s a very funny little boy. He was three weeks early which resulted in some jaundice and lethargy that had us at Hershey Children’s Hospital, but he’s doing much better! We are enjoying the snuggles while he still lets us haha

Today marks 7 years of business for me! Every year brings different challenges and new joys. I get to meet people in the first stages of building their lives together and for that I’m always grateful. This past year has been a struggle for me but it’s forcing me to think about how I market myself and my business. So, I’m pleased to launch my new logo that I hope will take this little business to the next level! The flower is a magnolia which is an absolute favorite of mine and holds a special place in my heart. You may see me use magnolia leaves a lot! I love the texture and color they bring. I hope you enjoy the update!

This might be my favorite wedding because the bride is one of my best friends! We met in college and afterward became roomies in Maryland. Her family became my second family and I'm always invited to the annual Cookie Baking Day the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The women in the family make THOUSANDS of cookies that day!

Kayla knew for almost her entire life that she wanted sunflowers at her wedding. So we incorporated the cutest sunnies into every arrangement. There are also peonies, roses, campanula and a variety of other flowers to create a gorgeous summer mix!

Being a florist and business owner has many layers of emotions from frustration, worry, anxiety, anger, and sadness, to excitement, joy, fulfilment, and an amazing creative outlet. This year is a real struggle for me and the wedding industry as a whole. Bookings are significantly down all across the board and it causes a lot of stress trying to figure out how to keep going.

Could you take a look at the flowers in these pictures? I chose each one to bring together a gorgeous, cohesive arrangement that makes me and my client happy. I get gleeful when I unpack the boxes of your wedding flowers. I always try to find special ones that will remind you of your wedding for years to come. I take such care in creating a feeling and a mood for your wedding day. It's the fragile beauty and the uniqueness of each flower that brings together an arrangement.

If you are wondering where to focus on florals for your wedding, a statement piece at your ceremony is a great spot! Even if you only have a 15-minute ceremony, those flowers will be in your photos for the rest of your life. Also, ask about reusing them in your reception! I love being able to repurpose anything from the ceremony that can be reused!!

I love the color of these bridesmaid dresses. It works so well with the flowers and everything is unified! I like to bring your color palette to life and also compliment all of the elements of the day, and not worry about matching. Fussing about whether a white rose will clash with your ivory dress or a mauve lisianthus will match a mauve dress will drive you nuts and will make me want to throw something at you. There is so much more that goes into it than that! Just trust that by hiring a professional florist (i.e. me), we can blend all of the colors so everything flows well together.

PS: If you actually don't want white roses, I will not make you have white roses. That was just an example. Also, I generally don't throw things at people.
