Today is Mary’s birthday 🥳 Mary is TPE’s longest-standing team member and we are so blessed to have her. Right from the bat, she integrated seamlessly into the team and it felt like we had the same style and approach to everything.

Mary has the most extensive events career which began in 2002, planning UCLA art exhibits, festivals, then corporate and live events in New York and San Diego for clients all over the world. Mary’s ability to translate rapport with clients into personalized events that showcase unique elements is unparalleled. Her incredible attention to detail and calm demeanor puts everyone around her at ease.

One year has flown by since this double sweet 16th birthday party that we planned for K+A!

The day was filled with all of the girls’ favorite things: a gorgeous backdrop for golden hour photos, cute picnic set ups to dine with all of their friends, their favorite sweet treats (macarons and mochi donuts), and Tiktok trend activities brought to life (like candle painting). Happy anniversary week to M+B! 🎉

A year ago, M+B held an intimate ceremony on the Mayor’s Balcony at San Francisco City Hall (swipe right to see the views!). San Francisco City Hall does so much heavy lifting already in bringing in stunning vibes + ambiance for a wedding – did you know that you have different location options? Not only can you get married under the Rotunda in front of the Grand Staircase, you can also choose the Fourth Floor Gallery or the Mayor’s Balcony for a smaller group and still get all the perks of getting married at SF City Hall.

Have you thought about where you’re getting ready the morning of your wedding day? Often couples think they’ll be getting ready on site at their venue but most of the time you won’t have access to your getting ready room (if your venue has one) early enough for when hair and makeup begins.

A couple of things to consider:
💋 How many people will be getting ready with you? That’ll dictate how much space / how big of a room you’ll need
💋 Make sure a full-length mirror is available!
💋 Overall ambiance/decor - it sets the tone for your getting ready photos
💋 What you and your besties will be eating and drinking! So often this is an afterthought and we always want to make sure our couples don’t start off their wedding day hungry!

.oakland has a little hidden gem on site – a most gorgeous high-ceiling, natural light-filled space filled with skylights and industrial beams + historic charm. Built in 1891, the space used to be a railway barn used for maintaining electric train cars and we love how they’ve transformed the space into a modern beauty while keeping the historical allure alive.

Our last travel wedding of the year for the sweetest couple is coming up this weekend and we couldn’t be more excited!

Although travel weddings require more backend logistics (ie. figuring out transportation, accommodations, scheduling, etc.), we love traveling for celebrations! Also in the territory of travel weddings: working with and sourcing new vendors and rental companies, extra time spent researching and planning, actual travel time and longer work periods. None of these challenges scare us because everything we do is custom anyway and as team players, we are flexible in working at new venues and with new vendors all the time.

Is wedding planning stressing you out?

Here are a few must-have planning gems as wedding planners that we recommend considering:
💎 Take off the week before your wedding. We see so many couples work up to the last minute of the wedding – the day passes by SO quickly and working up to the last minute makes it hard to transition into party/enjoy mode after all that planning
💎 Plan for a mini-moon at least if not doing a honeymoon right away to guarantee you take time off to spend time with each other
💎 If planning is feeling hard, that is NORMAL. Wedding planning is filled with emotions, so many moving parts, conversations, and decisions that is a huge departure from the typical day-to-day. Often engaged couples are also moving through other big transitions – like moving in together, buying a house, etc. Any single one of those events would already be a lot on its own, much less putting wedding planning on top of that! Remember to take things one step at a time, and don’t forget that we are here as wedding planners to help you through it all!

We created a giant rainbow string art installation to frame my wedding ceremony and it took my breath away 😍Being the scrappy creatives that we are, Yoko and I were brainstorming how to put this together when we discovered Villa Montalvo coincidentally had a string art installation on view. After a quick visit, there was no turning back! Many trips to @homedepot, @michaelsstores, & @joann_stores later with @yarnspirations, @lionbrandyarn, + @redheartyarns yarn in tow, we got into designing and prototyping.The hardest part was the build process which consisted of putting a ton of little screws into long planks of wood and a complex system of string organization to make it possible to transport and complete the build on site. We quickly learned that large-scale installations require an army of support and expertise. None of this would have been possible without the support of some dear friends and family (and of course my husband, Justin), for which I will forever be grateful.To this day, I still don’t know how they managed to assemble it all and get all the strings over this giant tree to create this beautiful installation, but the final result blew me away. Even wedding planners have trouble shopping for wedding dresses! Disclaimer: This dress search was in 2019 + I didn’t pick out all these dresses myself 🙈Does anyone else think it’s crazy that most of us go through our lives never needing to wear true formalwear and then when we get engaged, we suddenly need to know everything about formal attire fashion, designers, materials, and go through the trial and error of shopping for OR custom designing something for the first time ever, for the most important occasion in our lives to date?! Anyone else feel this way 🫣?After visiting 6 shops between the Bay Area and LA, and doing 60 dress try-ons (sooo painful 😩!), I eventually landed on the beautiful @oscardelarenta Hazel gown with three-dimensional flowers and intricate beaded vines. Happy one year to L+L! Can’t believe a year has zipped by since L+L’s intimate celebration at their home. They hosted their ceremony down the street at the quant Woodside Village Church with the cutest pre-ceremony coffee and tea bar and later kicked off the evening with incredible food and drinks.Their home is located at the top of a bunch of small, windy roads with very limited parking. Part of the planning included figuring out a parking/transportation plan to make sure guests and vendors could get to the house easily. Most people who think of hosting a party at a private residence or untraditional event space find it overwhelming and challenging. Our Story

Two Perfect Events began with a simple desire to plan and coordinate events for other people. This turned into a great love of designing beautiful events, delving deep in every detail, and being a calming force in the face of chaos (inevitable part of every event). We do this because we love seeing our clients happy.

Our philosophy is that a great event is one that exudes the personality of the host. We strive to find personal touches that make each event unique. While some event planners will work only with a certain aesthetic or a minimum budget, we are backed with the experience and flexibility that allows us to be versatile with any aesthetic or budget.

Our other main focus is making the planning process streamlined and helping our clients make smart planning decisions to save time and stress. By doing this, along with creating strong bonds with the vendors we work with, and by giving clear and frank communication, we set our clients up for success to pull off events that are true to themselves. And we are always there on event days to support and make sure everything goes as planned.

We have developed an easy-to-use CRM system on Google Drive to guide our clients through planning. As our team expanded over the years, we’ve also added to our creative and design services to include digital and print design, art installations, and custom projects for our events.
