The Joyful Lily’s Last Friday Teacher Spotlight was Mrs. Calo!

Thank you to The Joyful Lily for a surprising another Tyndall teacher with a beautiful holiday bouquet! This week's Flowers Friday receipient is Ms. Marilyn Calo (First Grade) who was nominated by Ms. Jennifer Marley.

Ms. Marley said this:
Mrs. Calo is a rock star! She brings her best to the students every day. Her classroom is a calm environment where students are encouraged to learn and grow. I always feel welcomed and supported by her. She knows how to engage her class and meet each child where they are. Not to mention all the costumes she wears for holiday fun! Her students truly want to be in her class, and that’s the greatest compliment of all!😀💐

Another wonderful soul to spotlight! Mrs. Marley! Being a military spouse is tough. There are things that come with this territory that you hope you never have to do. One of those things is going through a deployment. And to be a mom AND teacher while going through a deployment and still keeping the positive, encouraging energy?! I don’t know how she does it! And you can tell that her friends/work family definitely see her and appreciate her! It doesn’t go unnoticed 👏🏻👏🏻

Sadly our Friday Teacher Spotlight will be coming to an end. Our last bouquet will be handed out next Friday Dec. 22nd. It’s been such a pleasure giving bouquets to Tyndall Academy and seeing these wonderful people get nominated and to hear their why’s. It’s truly special 🩷

The Joyful Lily has blessed another deserving Tyndall Academy teacher with a beautiful bouquet. This week’s recipient is Mrs. Marley. She was nominated by Mrs. Mullins who wrote the following:

“Jennifer Marley is a true advocate for our Thunderbirds. She has been a blessing to the ESE department with her positivity and willingness to learn and do whatever it takes to meet the needs of her students. She and her family are proud to serve the United States Air Force and even though her husband is currently deployed, she is beautifully balancing being a parent to their girls and a new teaching position.

Mrs. Marley is a great listener and an encourager. She always has a smile and a kind word for her teammates as well as her students. She is a lifelong learner and constantly is looking for methods to improve her instruction. We are so thankful to have added her to our Thunderbird team this year and hope these flowers represent how much we appreciate her.”

Announcement time 📣

First off, we want to thank you, especially our Tyndall community for all the love and support over the last few months. We have gotten to know SO many of you that have come by the shop to say hello! You all have supported us tremendously as we took on a new journey that two moms decided to take on for fun! We have had some amazing experiences while running The Joyful Lily!

With a sad, BUT SUCH A GRATEFUL heart, it’s time to close shop! Cassie and I are forever grateful for you all believing in us and the success we have had from the shop! But it’s time for us to be full time mamas and see what other opportunities the Lord has in store for us!

But don’t worry, we will still be doing all our Christmas orders for Tyndall teachers, and filling out the orders we have placed!!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts🩷 we pray this next year, 2024, is filled with amazing opportunities for Tyndall AFB and your families! Stop by this week to say goodbye and get your last bouquet!

There is A LOT going on this week and next! Whew! Gotta love this time of year 😉🎄

1️⃣ This Friday Dec 15th is the LAST day to pre order a Flyby and Flowers gift! They will be delivered/picked up on the 19th!
2️⃣We will be open on Thursday the 14th from 9-10:45 and then reopen from 12-1! My son has a Christmas lunch that day and we are going to eat with him! Thanks for understanding 🩷
3️⃣Friday, December 15th we will be closing early! We will be open from 9-1!
4️⃣We are no longer taking custom orders at this time. EXECPT for the Flyby and Flowers gifts. All custom orders that have ALREADY been placed, they will be ready for you on the day and time we have given☺️

The Joyful Lily has blessed another Tyndall Academy Teacher for Flowers Friday! Mrs. Jeni Mullen was nominated by Mrs. Wells who had this to say:
"If I didn't pick her, someone else surely would have. Jeni Mullen is the heart and soul of Tyndall. Jeni loves watching our children grow and sees potential in each and every one. Jeni is patient, gracious, and kind always. Jeni is always in your corner and is your biggest cheerleader. She is the kind of teacher that you'd accidentally call 'mom' because she takes you under her wing like you are one of hers. She has played a big role in the educator that I am and I know she has poured into many other teachers at this school. We are better and stronger here because of her and I couldn't imagine Tyndall without her!"

In the Christmas spirit today! We will be heading to The St Andrews Market this evening for the Christmas night market!

Come out, visit the vendors, see the lights and meet the grinch!

Shop will be closing early today to make it to the market!
