We had the opportunity to work with Priefert Manufacturing representatives who installed 12 new horse stalls. Monoclonal antibody treatment center to close in Bay County
WJHG Newsroom - Announced Yesterday 5:29 PM
According to Bay County health officials, the monoclonal antibody therapy treatment site at the Bay County Fairgrounds will close on Saturday, December 4.
Local health officials said the State of Florida has been working with a network of community partners to ensure the health care sector is able to administer the antibody treatment to residents.
We’re told the Florida Department of Health will continue to allocate doses of the monoclonal antibodies to health care providers ensuring inventory levels meet county demands.
Monoclonal antibody treatment locations can be found at FloridaHealthCOVID19.gov.
Health officials said these antibodies help the immune system recognize and respond to the virus. The treatment is for people who’ve contracted or been exposed to COVID. The monoclonal antibody treatment can prevent severe illness, hospitalization and death in high-risk patients who have contracted the virus.

An update for you! We wanted to make sure that you knew the October Gun Show will not take place at the Fairground due to the restoration project underway. Additionally, there is a Monoclonal Antibody infusion Site using part of the main Fairground building. The Infusion site is there to help Bay County residents or others who are interested in Monoclonal Antibody treatment for Covid 19. Be sure to follow us on FB for future announcements or check out the new website www.baycountyfair.org. You will find most of your questions answered in the FAQ section or the monthly blog section.

FEMA has now begun the Fairground restoration project for the Midway portion of the Fairgrounds. While we do not at this time have a projected completion date (due to the potential of weather related delays) please keep in mind that there is much to do in order to restore the Midway to it's original condition. This particular site was the largest FEMA trailer site in our county.

The State of Florida in conjunction with Bay County Florida EOC has requested space be made available in our Main Building for the purpose of an Infusion Center which would provide Monoclonal Antibody Treatments for Covid 19 infected. The Central Panhandle Fair will be providing this space until late December 2021. For more information please contact floridahealthcovid19.gov or the Bay County EOC at 850-248-6043. Ok, you asked for fresh watermelon. Tony just brought in a load for the Farmers Market. They were cut in the Plant City area yesterday.
Another vendor has been added to the Farmers Market due to the demand. Our Fair Manager invites you all to come out and enjoy the newly renovated Farmers Market and visit with each vendor! They have lots to share. We hear the fried peanuts are excellent!
