We love weddings, but this one was special for us as our handsome nephew Cole married his sweetheart Mackenzie at the beautiful Live Oak Weddings and Special Events Venue. While Dj Vladi, Vladimir Jimenez , entertained family and friends as they dined on Filet Mignon, Chicken Marsala, Charleston shrimp and grits, garlic mashed potatoes, saucy green beans , Mac and cheese, sweet potatoe casserole, and rolls. Can’t wait to see the lovely pictures from Leather & Lace Photography and video from Goodman Photography & Video.

The reception began with charcuterie and signature cocktails followed by dinner with grilled vegetables, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans, grilled chicken and pork loin. Grazing tables are a feast for the eyes and a great way for your guest to mingle and nibble at the same time. This wedding on July 3 by event planner Clay Keels at Signature Events was all that you could want to kick off the July 4th weekend. The at dusk wedding of Jaclyn and Eric on Mexico Beach was followed by fireworks. Then it was across the street to the bride’s family home where guest were greeted with hurricane drinks served by the Signature Events’ bar tenders. Guest went on to enjoy the coconut shrimp, mini crab cakes, Hawaiian pineapple chicken skewers, pork bbq sliders, smoked wings, vegetables, and tropical fruits on the grazing table. DJ Vladi entertained with great music that kept guest dancing by the pool. Finishing the meal with the cutting of this gorgeous cake by Shannon McDaniel Gay of Lake House Cakes by Shannon.

The Johnstone Foods - McDonald's Gateway VIP Pre-View Event, a beautiful breezy evening for charcuterie, shrimp and grits shooters, gourmet Mac and cheese bar, steamed shrimp with our own special cocktail sauce, both chicken and pork sliders and a grand finish with (just like granny made) banana pudding.

Shawna & Neal special wedding day!
Shawna was gorgeous in her wedding gown and Neal quite dashing.
We served our perfectly seasoned smoked chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, long and saucy green beans, corn and rolls. And the cake was delicious! Lake House Cakes by Shannon McDaniel Gay.

It was a full weekend, Saturday brunch with the Quilters Guild followed by a beautiful Live Oak wedding and a carefree Sunday beach brunch. We are thankful for plenty of work and happy for a restful Monday!

After all the rain and cold last week, Saturday turned out to be a gorgeous day for Georgia and Adam Lindsey’s wedding at Live Oak Plantation. For those of us living in the land of broken trees, the beautiful live oaks were like a breathe of fresh air! The bride’s parents, Chuck and Penny George Dockery were such pleasure to work with on getting everything planned! Mrs Bobbie Carroll was a great hostess at this beautiful venue.
