I haven't shared photos in a while I know. As some of you may know, we were hit hard by Hurricane Michael. We lost our home to trees. We were only renters which meant we were also suddenly homeless. Thanks to a wonderful family, we were able to use their condo on the beach until we were able to find a new home (which in this area is still very hard). We had to wait for our new home to be built. Finally, we are now settled and able to start rebuilding our lives. Over the next weeks and months I hope to be able to get back to doing what I enjoy, and that is capturing your memories. This means more to me now than ever.
I want to start a series called "Home Again." These 30 min sessions will showcase you in your new home, whether it be a new to you home or your home that's become new through repairs. It's about being able to walk through that door and know you are finally home again.
Now I leave you with the last pictures I took before our world was thrown into pure chaos. I'm so glad we were able to spend the weekend before the storm with family at the sunflower farm near Dothan. Aplin Farms has beautiful sunflowers in the fall and I was itching to take pictures there. Like always though my model was less than thrilled but I still ended up capturing some treasures. From now til forever, these pictures will remind me of the last happy memory we had before our lives changed. We are happy again, but it's good to look back and remember to live your life. You never know what tomorrow holds.
