The Power of Being LOVED!
This little dog showed up at the ranch this week. Scared, hungry and abandoned.
She was shaking and scared as she had been dumped. The ranch is somewhat remote so she was not a neighbors dog. She is older and has some health issues...
My neighbor Cathy Meyer took her in.. look at how happy she is!
God Bless Cathy!
Grazing Kansas in December
The chickens are settling into their winter compound.. 4 mobile coops to visit, straw to protect from the wind and to scratch in.
The concept is simple. Grow things, reproduce things, sell things and repeat.
Nothing simple in the execution of it all. Everything is REAL! The pretty moments, the hard moments, the sad moments all make it a real experience.
Our daily cattle moves allow me to greet the herd and tell the calves like 4907M that.... I love you!
The majesty of creation on display.
Romans 1:20 " For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse."
Happy Thanksgiving
Here is a look back at November in pictures. Many new faces arrived!
It was a full Saturday on the ranch. New bulls arrived, the herds continued to graze the Kansas prairie and the weaned Wagyu calves gave me some great silhouette pics.
We took a little break from social media the past 2 months as the ranching operation grew. We are busier than ever but more determined and motivated to continue building the Carter James Ranch! We have fallen in love with the challenge of building a local food system providing direct to consumer....
They make such a great duo. We love all the guardians.. but Koda and Honey were our first guard dogs. They have a pure enjoyment and love for each other. We are so thankful for them and the job they do protecting the sheep.
This Beef's for you! Coming soon fall 2024
