Meet Craig Grosshuesch.
He is an entrepreneur who owns Chameleon Painting Company. Although he is a professional painter by trade, Craig is also talented in carpentry.
He grew up in Naperville, Illinois.
He and his family were caretakers of Camp Seager.
Craig and his wife, Joanie, moved to Kansas City in 1992. They have two incredible sons, beautiful daughter-in-laws and four grandchildren.
Chuck and Craig became friends through ASA softball 25 years ago.
Craig enjoys spending time at the farm. While walking around the venue, take a minute to glance at the porch daybed swings, chalkboard, bars, tables in the event space, sleigh, planter boxes etc. Craig built all of these items. We collaborate on ideas of items or decor to build and he brings the visions into reality.
A nine hole prairie golf course called The Reprieve is his brainstorm. He works diligently on the project. The golf course offers a fun outing for a groom and groomsmen on wedding morning.
Craig works events as a key member of our team. He also graciously accepts the task of taking care of our beloved farm animals if we travel.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and family, playing golf and creating items made of wood.
Chuck and I are grateful for his friendship and willingness to work with us.
Craig has interesting stories. Strike up a conversation when you see him at the farm.

A walk through in the moments before guests arrive is one of many of my favorite times of a wedding/event. This is the quiet time before the newly married couple makes an entrance in front of friends and family. Laughter and chatter and toasts soon make way to music, and singing. Making memories. These moments culminate into all of the hours of planning and work and getting to know a couple and their family members. A feeling of gratitude washes over me every event.
Take a minute to soak in the vision of a couple/host at the next event you attend.

Blizzard 2025…
We made the drive to the farm on Sunday to check on the animals. One was in need of attention, so thankfully we made the 30 mph trek.
Our great nieces visting from SC enjoyed being in their first major snowfall and winter blast.

Watching the sunrise on the first day of the year is a long standing tradition for me and several family members. I anticipate the sun rise in a new year filled with hope and anticipation of what’s on the horizon.
We have choices to live each day with positivity, gratitude and kindness. I walk into the new year with this in mind as I learn from mistakes made during the year in the rear view.
2025 is going to be a great year!
Make it a happy one. 🤍
Newly engaged?
We celebrate you!
One of the first steps you should take after savoring your commitment to each other is secure a venue.
Venues can fill up one year to two years out. Vendors, especially photographers also tend to have super busy schedules booked out well in advance.
We have a few 2025 dates and several 2026 dates remaining.
If you are looking for beautiful venue with outdoor spaces and indoor space and a professional staff, contact us to set book a tour.
