Americanism is the spirit of patriotism, civic responsibility, and love for our country — and at Post 32, it’s a core part of who we are. The American Legion preserves Americanism by teaching proper flag etiquette, supporting youth programs like Boys State and Girls State, honoring veterans through ceremonies and community events, promoting respect for the flag, and encouraging service within our local communities. It’s about passing on the values that make our nation strong — and living them every day.

Happy 1 year Tank-aversary! 🎉

On November 14th, 2024, the US Army Reserve 443rd Transport Company moved this 93,000 pound tank from Post 298 in Burwell, Nebraska to Papillion, Nebraska. With the help of Patriot Crane & Rigging LLC, the tank was lifted off the HET M1070 tractor trailer and onto Post 32 property. With all the support from our community and volunteers, we were able to safely and successfully place this iconic static display in Papillion.

Since the tank was placed, we were able to get it cleaned and painted, looking fresh for its new home at Post 32.

Coming soon- Informational and Historical displays posted near the tank for visitors to read and learn more about the tank & its history, sponsored by Sustainable Mechanical Inc.
