Our Story
Premium Paper Flowers: Handmade locally in Kalamazoo, MI.
I started making paper flowers in 2014 in preparation of my wedding. I wanted an alternative to real flowers, but also have the ability to customize my bouquet and make it unique and personal. I absolutely fell in love with making them and in 2015, I went into business!
Things started slow as I experimented, practiced, and threw away more flowers than I can count. There were some super frustrating times (learning the structural integrity of a cardboard box), painful times (FYI: cardstock paper cuts *do* hurt more than regular paper cuts), and even embarrassingly funny times (Did you know that hot glue is just as hard to get out of your hair as you’d imagine?). Gradually though, a style emerged in my work and I found that the hobby I had stumbled upon had become a true passion.
Each of these flowers is designed and made by hand out of various paper and cardstock at my studio in Kalamazoo, MI. Most of my flowers are traced and cut by hand and may be made in any variety of color and texture combinations. All flowers, dragon eggs, and ornaments are sent out with care cards detailing the care instructions of the piece(s).
