FB friends PLEASE PAY ATTENTION to this post! If you see multiple items for sale on FB do not open the post. If you feel you have to get in on the incredible deals contact your friend a different way to confirm. The scammers list atv’s, trailers etc all the things we in rural Kentucky need and want at a crazy good price stating it is a sale from our loved ones families with health, financial, death etc issues etc. So one of my closest friends is the victim of their FB Profile being overtaken! They called me for advice so I contacted one of our private investigator within our Professional Investigators association that gave us an outstanding class on mobile forensics last year. His business operates out of the Louisville area and was already on top of a recent popular scam. He told me that FB has no control over it and the FBI has agents assigned to this scam and it originates overseas with multiple perpetrators overtaking profiles by listing these huge, auction / personal type sales. When you look at the post it subjects and opens your profile for them to access and overtake. He informed me that “IC3.gov” is the website and agency to report your FB profile has been overtaken. Once a friend has been overtaken, they target your closest friends and relatives with family type personal info that we kinda recognize as legitimate when it is clearly a way for them to access our FB profiles. FYI!!!!!
