This month, we’re shining the spotlight on someone truly special—Kristyn, also known as “Syd”! 🎉 As our longest full-time employee, Syd has dedicated 7 incredible years to Summit Events, becoming an integral part of our team, bringing unmatched passion, dedication and a love for adventure to everything she does.

From her start as an Event Coordinator fresh out of University to taking on global event planning and then transitioning into the nonprofit world, Syd’s experience spans continents and industries. She’s planned events worldwide, worked as a Catering Sales Manager at Salt Lake City’s only 4-diamond hotel, and traveled the Caribbean Sea as a Travel Director. Her love for travel and connecting with people shines through in everything she does at Summit Events.

When she’s not busy making events unforgettable, you’ll find Syd enjoying the outdoors with her three kids and husband: biking, hiking or skiing in beautiful Utah. And of course, she’s always up for reading, cooking and entertaining.

What a great day to show our clients around today! We broke out the in Sand Hollow State Park first, then visited Snow Canyon State Park to see this enormous Veteran’s Day flag.

Did you know it weighs over 400 pounds, is over a quarter of an acre and each individual stripe is 6’ wide!
