Happy Holidays everyone! As you may know, Edgar Place is ending with our last show on December 7th.. "The Cracked Christmas show (see next post).. We hope you will attend to watch a very fun show with lots of guest performers, some free giveaways, reduced album prices, and to celebrate the great tradition of Edgars Place.

Also if there are any performers who have performed at Edgars Place in the past, we would be glad to give you a slot in the second set of the night to do one or two songs .. If you are interested contact DAVE RUDOLF at 708-528-6447

Hi everyone, Hope you are having a great summer! Below are the 4 shows we will be having this year for Edgar's Place... Unfortunately, these will be the last 4 shows of Edgar's Place unless something drastic changes.. Since Covid, Edgar's, (as well as many other small acoustic venues I've talked to) has had trouble getting people to return to our live venue. Coupled with a diminishing pool of volunteers, we've had to take on more responsibilities with less attendance.. It's also not fair to the incredible artists we bring in since their pay is contingent upon attendance..
So as it stands, Edgars will be no longer having a series after December (Although there is a possibility of doing a stand alone show every once in a while)... I want to thank Valerie Birk and our volunteers for all their help over the years, and for their continued support, as well as the audiences and fabulous performers.. Edgars had a 32 year run and should be proud of its legacy ... Also kudos to UUCC of Park Forest for providing the wonderful space for this series.
I've been running various listening rooms for over 40 years and I can tell you it doesn't work without all these people working to make it happen... Please thank all of them when you see them.. I'm certainly grateful for all their help.

WE will end with a bang though, and please, please, please help us send Edgars program off with a bang

The 10th song from my new album "That Ship Has Sailed" I plan to have videos for all 16 tunes on the album being the ambitious little beaver that I am... This song and video "Days of Yore" is about people's tendencies to glamorize the past imagining to be so golden and simpler times, conveniently forgetting all the bad things that occurred, often at the expense of ignoring their present and future. It's got kind of a Celtic feel on the acoustics and rhytmn section

Hi everyone, Happy Olympics Monday!! Here's a new video of "Promise To Deliver", a tune from my new album "That Ship Has Sailed" It's a R&B-influenced tune, somewhat in the vein of Hall & Oates.. I enjoyed writing and singing this song. I get to use a falsetto a bit in the song which is always fun (AT least for me, you may feel otherwise.

Here's another video of a song from my new album "That Ship Has Sailed" a tune about the hypocrisy of supposed "Christians". It seems they ignore every tenant of the actual faith. This tune is entitled "Practice What You Preach" It's a bit of a Swampy Country tune... I really liked the way the track came out... Let me know what you think

Hi everyone.. Hope you're having a great day and are happy with your life. Which co-incidentally is what this song and video is about. most of the tunleson this new album are about relationships and how we choose to look at the world.. here the protagonists goes through life happy, ignoring all the naysayers around him... You'd be amazed how many people are annoyed at people who have that approach calling them naive or uninformed but most often that is not the case... They choose to be happy DESPITE all the bad things going on around them, instead being grateful what they do have. So here is the 5th video and song off my new "That Ship Has Sailed" album
Hope you enjoy it... I choose to do the video in a Robert Crumb style of animation cels. (He did the Grateful Dead art work)
