✨ What an unforgettable week in Myrtle Beach at the Fall 2025 SASA (South Atlantic Shriners Association)! ✨

Nemesis showed up big and made us so proud in the parade! 🥳 Here’s how we did:

🎉 A huge shout-out to the Lewis County Clowns, who received the South Atlantic Clown Association President’s Choice Award! What an incredible and well-deserved honor — congratulations, Clowns!
And let’s talk about our Hospitality Room at the Landmark… wow! The Hospitality Room at the Landmark was one of the most fun and well-attended rooms in Nemesis history. We were thrilled to welcome Imperial Sir Brad Koehn and Lady Cheryl, along with several other Temples, Imperial members and friends and families! And of course, we can’t forget Fezy, who made a special appearance and brought plenty of smiles and laughter to the room!
The Ladies’ Luncheon was also a big success — well attended by our Nemesis ladies, who were treated to wonderful entertainment and a delicious lunch.
Most importantly, thank you to every single person who participated and supported Nemesis and Shriners International. The Shriners help so many families in need, and without each one of YOU, none of this would be possible. Together, we are making a real difference while having fun along the way.
Congratulations again to all who took part in this year’s parade — Nemesis shines because of you!

Illustrious Sirs, Divan, Aides and Nobles All,

Paula and I appreciated the great attendance at the SASA Fall Festival by Nemesis Clubs, Units, Nobles, Family and Friends. We were well represented in providing a great hospitality room, participating in the parade and at the Presidents reception. Special thanks to the parading units, as it is no small feat to ready and transport the parade elements to Myrtle Beach, SC. In looking ahead, please continue to sell Sportsman's Day $20 and $100 tickets, and searching for candidates for the cold sands during October Temple meeting.

This week, the Oriental Band meets at 7:00 pm on Tuesday.

The Hillbillies Unit meets at 7:00 pm on Wednesday.

The Director Staff meets at 7:00 pm on Thursday.

The Tyler County Shrine Club meeting and steak fry is Thursday as well with drinks at 5:30 pm and dinner at 6:30 pm. Greg Conger and Tim Fluharty are to be commended for organizing the Tyler County Roadsters to travel and parade with Nemesis Shrine at the SASA Fall Festival this year.

Saturday is the Nostalgia Comedy show at 7:00 pm, Nemesis Shrine Center, please join us to support the event and have a good time and laugh a little.

Sportsman’s Day is just around the corner, so please plan to attend with friends and family. It is always a good time with food, drink, fellowship and "everyone's a winner". Paula and I continue to appreciate the opportunity and support of our Nemesis Shrine family this year.

Thursday, September 11, 2025, Nemesis Shrine Temple meeting at 7:30 pm, Food will be available at 6:30 pm

Next week, many will be heading to Myrtle Beach, SC with family and friends to enjoy the sun, smell of salt water, great seafood and having fun leading up to the parade on Saturday morning, September 20, 2025. We have events planned throughout the week in which all attending is invited. The hospitality room is often the hub to meet or spending time relaxing. Paula is working on the schedule for food to provide a snack between meals or later in the evening when you get the munchies. We plan to arrive on Saturday afternoon, September 13, 2025 and look forward to enjoying the week with our Nemesis family and other Nobles from SASA.

As the weather starts to cool, so does the Fall/Holiday parade season. It's a great opportunity to bond with the communities while gaining visibility for the Shrine and its philanthropy. We look forward to seeing those attending SASA at Nemesis activities and other temples within SASA. Sportsman’s Day is just around the corner, so please plan to attend with friends and family. It is the temple's biggest event of the year, which lends itself to promote the Shrine and be a great fundraiser for the following year. Paula and I continue to feel blessed with the honor and privilege to serve Nemesis Shrine this year.

Last night at Tyler County’s monthly dinner/meeting, Noble Rusty Wetzel and Lady Annette proudly presented a $5,000 check to Randy Waugaman and Richard Hudkins, representatives of the Lexington Shriners Childrens Hospital through Nemesis Shrine Center. This donation came from the July Tyler County Golf Scramble.
We are so proud of Tyler County and our community—everyone who participated, helped, or supported the scramble. Your generosity makes a real difference for the children Shriners Hospitals care for every day. ❤️⛳
