What an absolutely fantastic turnout today for our Annual Sportsman Day Bash! A special thank you to Mindy Eaton — Mrs. Wood County 2026— for joining us and helping with our fundraising efforts! 👑
A huge thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this event such a success — from organizers and volunteers to all who attended and supported the cause.
The Lewis County Shrine Club prepared and served the food, and it was delicious as always!
The raffles were plenty, and the prizes were amazing — it truly was a day full of fun, fellowship, and generosity! 🎟️🎉
All proceeds from today’s event went to support the Nemesis Shrine Center whose ongoing mission helps make a difference in the lives of children.
Thank you all for your incredible support — we couldn’t do it without you! 💫

This week, the Mini Corvettes meet at 7:00 pm on Monday

The Hillbilly Unit meets on Wednesday at 7:00 PM

The Director Staff meets on Thursday at 7:00 PM

The Tyler County Shrine Club prime rib dinner meeting is Thursday, social at 5:30 PM, dinner at 6:00 PM

The 21st Annual Nemesis Shrine Sportsman's Day is THIS Saturday, October 25, 2025. Doors open at 12:00 PM and Drawings start at 1:00 PM with food and drinks provided to ticketholders. Contact the temple for additional $20 Sportsman’s Day tickets and please return all monies and stubs as soon as possible to aid in preparation for Saturday. It is the Nemesis Temple's largest fund raiser which supports the operating cost of the temple to include Club and Unit insurance and other expenses. As part of the Sportsman’s Day, The Ultimate Predator Hunting and Firearms Package valued at $17,000.00 is available for the purchase of a $100 ticket with only 300 being sold. The winning ticket will be drawn near the completion for the Sportsman’s Day event.

The Nemesis Shrine Trunk or Treat at the shrine center is from 3-5PM, October 26, 2025. Clubs and Units will have parade vehicles on display and provide candy to the kids along with those of the community who choose to participate as well.

November 1st, Lewis County Shrine Club Halloween Party

November 8th, Motorized Unit Sweepstakes, $6,000.00 grand prize

November 15th, Ohio Valley Shrine Club Meat Extravaganza

December 31st, Nemesis Shrine New Years Eve Pajama Party, bring your favorite appetizer to share (casual dress is acceptable).

At last night’s Temple meeting, Provost President Matt Nichols proudly presented to Illustrious Sir Paul Stephens the following generous donations on behalf of the Provost Unit:

We are having cold sands ceremony for candidates at our temple meeting this week, and Sportsman's Day is less than 2 weeks away. Please ensure you turn in ticket stubs and money ASAP to assist in preparation for the event. Nemesis Shrine Trunk or Treat is the day after Sportsman's Day and provides an opportunity for the kids and the Nemesis Shrine. Paula and I appreciate your support and kindness throughout the year.

This week, the Mini Indys and Lewis County Clowns meet at 7:00 pm on Tuesday.

The Provost Unit meets on Tuesday as well at the Nemesis Shrine Center, Social at 5:30 PM, Dinner at 6:30 PM

The Nemesis Shrine temple meeting is Thursday at 7:30 with a Cold Sands ceremony for available candidates

The initial 6 tickets were mailed to every noble with the expectation to sell 6 tickets or buy them. $20 per ticket or $100 for 6 tickets is still a bargain with a chance to win, free food and drinks and other opportunities to win cash and prizes. It is the Nemesis Temple largest fund raiser which supports the operating cost of the temple to include Club and Unit insurance and other expenses.

📣 Provost Unit Meeting Reminder!

👻👻UPDATE: The meeting has been moved inside to The Mountaineer Room.

Please join us this Tuesday, the 14th, at the picnic shelter at the Temple for the Provost Unit dinner/meeting. We will be serving a cozy Soup & Sandwich Supper — perfect for a fall evening. 🍂

🥣 On the menu:
• Chili (Matt)
• Chicken Quesadilla Soup (thanks, Tammi!)
• Tater Soup (Mike)
Plus: Peanut butter & pimento cheese sandwiches!

Cost: $10 per person
Social: 5:30 PM

We’ll also be nominating and electing officers for the upcoming year — so please make plans to attend!

Get ready for a SPOOKTACULAR time! Don’t miss the Shriner’s Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 26th from 3–5 PM at Nemesis Shrine Center. Bring your little goblins, ghosts, and ghouls for an afternoon full of candy, costumes, and creepy fun! We look forward to seeing all the creative trunks and smiling faces — it’s going to be a frightfully good time! Nemesis Shrine Center is located at 244 Watson Road, Parkersburg. The event will be held from 3 PM – 5 PM. It’s open to the public – everyone’s invited! There will be food available for purchase, so come by for a great time!
