This committee brings together school and community leaders to coordinate local resources and support programs that benefit students and families throughout Tyler County.

Illustrious Sirs and Nobles All,

A busy week lies ahead while building towards Veterans Day on the 11th of November. It is always a solemn occasion to spend with Veterans and recall the sacrifice of the service members and their families. Paula and I look forward to the remaining opportunities of fellowship at the Nemesis Shrine Club and Unit events and holiday celebrations. As always, please invite fellow Shiners, Masons and families to attend these functions to promote the Shrine family and philanthropy.

The Motorized Unit Sweepstakes, $6,000.00 grand prize is Saturday, doors open at 4:00 PM for the cocktail party and games with a Steak dinner and the elimination drawings starting at 6:00 PM. Illustrious Sirs and Nobles All,

Thanks to all for a great weekend for Nemesis Shrine. The Sportsman's Bash on Saturday exceeded expectation with the outpouring of support and generosity of Shriners, Family and Guest.
The Trunk-or-Treat on Sunday was a fun-filled event for kids and families alike! Clubs and Units showcased creative, vehicle-decorated displays, and Nobles and their families joined in with decorated trunks and truck beds—all in support of our community.
The weather was perfect, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to Mike and Janna Valentine for taking the lead, along with all the other dedicated volunteers who donated their time, energy, and enthusiasm to make this wonderful annual tradition such a special event for our community and children.
A special thank-you goes out to the Provost Unit, Tyler County Shrine Club, and the DIVAN for their generous contributions and prize donations that helped make this year’s Trunk-or-Treat even more successful. The children were absolutely thrilled with the prizes, and your generosity truly added to the joy of the day!
To everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported in any way—thank you for your teamwork, creativity, and commitment. You truly make the difference year after year! 🎃✨

All I can say is WOW!! 🙌
What an absolutely fantastic turnout today for our Annual Sportsman Day Bash! A special thank you to Mindy Eaton — Mrs. Wood County 2026— for joining us and helping with our fundraising efforts! 👑
A huge thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this event such a success — from organizers and volunteers to all who attended and supported the cause.
The Lewis County Shrine Club prepared and served the food, and it was delicious as always!
The raffles were plenty, and the prizes were amazing — it truly was a day full of fun, fellowship, and generosity! 🎟️🎉
All proceeds from today’s event went to support the Nemesis Shrine Center whose ongoing mission helps make a difference in the lives of children.
Thank you all for your incredible support — we couldn’t do it without you! 💫

The Tyler County Shrine Club prime rib dinner meeting is Thursday, social at 5:30 PM, dinner at 6:00 PM

The 21st Annual Nemesis Shrine Sportsman's Day is THIS Saturday, October 25, 2025. Doors open at 12:00 PM and Drawings start at 1:00 PM with food and drinks provided to ticketholders. Contact the temple for additional $20 Sportsman’s Day tickets and please return all monies and stubs as soon as possible to aid in preparation for Saturday. It is the Nemesis Temple's largest fund raiser which supports the operating cost of the temple to include Club and Unit insurance and other expenses. As part of the Sportsman’s Day, The Ultimate Predator Hunting and Fi****ms Package valued at $17,000.00 is available for the purchase of a $100 ticket with only 300 being sold. The winning ticket will be drawn near the completion for the Sportsman’s Day event.

The Nemesis Shrine Trunk or Treat at the shrine center is from 3-5PM, October 26, 2025. Clubs and Units will have parade vehicles on display and provide candy to the kids along with those of the community who choose to participate as well.

At last night’s Temple meeting, Provost President Matt Nichols proudly presented to Illustrious Sir Paul Stephens the following generous donations on behalf of the Provost Unit:

We are having cold sands ceremony for candidates at our temple meeting this week, and Sportsman's Day is less than 2 weeks away. Please ensure you turn in ticket stubs and money ASAP to assist in preparation for the event. Nemesis Shrine Trunk or Treat is the day after Sportsman's Day and provides an opportunity for the kids and the Nemesis Shrine. Paula and I appreciate your support and kindness throughout the year.

This week, the Mini Indys and Lewis County Clowns meet at 7:00 pm on Tuesday.

The Provost Unit meets on Tuesday as well at the Nemesis Shrine Center, Social at 5:30 PM, Dinner at 6:30 PM

The Nemesis Shrine temple meeting is Thursday at 7:30 with a Cold Sands ceremony for available candidates

Upcoming Events:

October 25, 2025, Sportsman's Day, Contact the temple for additional $100 Package tickets or $20 Sportsman’s Day tickets. The initial 6 tickets were mailed to every noble with the expectation to sell 6 tickets or buy them. $20 per ticket or $100 for 6 tickets is still a bargain with a chance to win, free food and drinks and other opportunities to win cash and prizes. It is the Nemesis Temple largest fund raiser which supports the operating cost of the temple to include Club and Unit insurance and other expenses.
