Parkfield Festival News
The BMSCC Board of Directors voted unanimously to move forward with a 2013 festival at Parkfield. The vote follows exciting news from the Varian family members ( owners of the V6 Ranch At Parkfield ) that they will build a permanent stage that BMSCC may use for festivals beginning in 2013. To make the 2013 festival a success, we must have people willing to work on the festival year-round. Some of our key staff people from previous festivals need to limit their involvement going forward. So, the festival needs responsible take-charge , management–level helpers who will take on areas of responsibility and run with them. If you are one of these people please email BMSCC: [email protected] and let us know your strengths.
BMSCC News
BMSCC Jams need a new home!
BMSCC would like to give their sincere thanks to SLO DOWN PUB, that wonderful supporter of Central Coast live music which has hosted our two monthly bluegrass Jams since 2008. The Pub’s publicist, Lyne Hamel, recently told BMSCC that financial considerations are forcing the the PUB to discontinue the jams. So, BMSCC is seeking a new spot for our slow and regular Jams (currently held on the third and fourth Sundays of the month at 5:30 pm). The ideal spot would be sheltered from bad weather so the jams could occur through out the year. If you know a good jam friendly spot, let us know at [email protected]
Also please note that the Pour House Jam in Paso Robles has been discontinued

Appelation Bluegrass Band
Santa Margarita KOA Campground
The semi rowdy ‘raditionals (radical traditional) Abbies will take their act out to the boondocks again for a night of bluegrass under the stars at the KOA’s HAY BALE Theater! It’s free, but bring your two dollar bills so you can enjoy some delicious bar-b-que and other KOA snacks. Bring your Fur piece too, as it tends to get a bit nippy in the KOA holler after the sun goes behind the mountains. Take Hwy 101 to Santa Margarita and follow the signs east to the lake. THE KOA entrance is just shy of the Lake. The parking lot for the Hay Bale Theater is just past the entrance to the right.
