Tips on bustling your dress!

1. Take someone with you to your fittings! They can learn from your seamstress how to bustle.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Take a video! Send it to the party group as well as your planner!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Bring a crochet hook! We provide one in the emergency kit but it doesn’t hurt to have an extra on hand. This will help if anyone has any long nails it can be difficult to get the bustle over the button!

Room flips are not always included and typically take an average of 5-10 people with a guest count of 150-200. Need it done faster or have a larger guest count that number goes up!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s who typically helps with a flip and the role:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Venue staff: They know the most logical and QUICKEST way to get a flip done. If this is an add on service we require our couples to have it no matter what. They usually run the show!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Wedding Planner: We are overseeing layout and placement to complete overall desired look/design! We will also jump in to move chairs, flip floral, or get tables in exact place needed. Then we go in for final fixes and touches to make sure all our ducks are in a row!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Caterer: The caterers main job is to ensure all place settings are placed and ready to go. This will include napkin folded, water goblets filled, salads preplated, etc. If your caterer is serving buffet style they may not have the staff to assist with the flip so please ensure to add on serving staff to assist as needed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All of the services of above can be discussed beforehand with your vendors to ensure a seemless and fast flip! With a pro staff flipping at that guest count we’ve seen it and help knock it out in 30-40 minutes!

*** if your not planning a flip but have to move inside last minute! It’s still a good idea to have the “incase” conversation with your vendors and get it in writing. 👀

When should you tell your florist to arrive with personals?

Most florists allow one complimentary stop if your not getting ready at the venue or if the ceremony is at a separate location. Personal florals need to be dropped off when the photographer/videographer arrives! If you didn’t read our last post that’s about 1 hour prior to hair and makeup being complete.

If your on the brides side also be aware that you will be holding a larger bouquet, your own bouquet, and in charge of fluffing. 😅 So a lot going on to keep track of a ring!

I always giggle a little bit inside when a wedding guest approaches me at your wedding.

Everyone always has thoughtful advice or a story about that one time they coordinated their friends wedding. 🙃

There’s a reason to hire a professional and not ask a family member or friend to “coordinate” your wedding!

2. They lack experience and I’m not saying that they can’t do a good job but what if something did go wrong. Could they really handle it and keep your best interest at heart?

3. By hiring a pro we work for YOU! Not your grandma, a bridesmaid, or cousin Sally. We are making sure everything is running correctly with you in mind. 😊

How much time should you set aside for hair and makeup for each person?

45 minutes for each service so about 1 hour 15 minutes total!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you have a party of more then 4 people getting hair and makeup we recommend having 2 stylists for each service.

Making a schedule for the morning of can also be lifesaving if it’s going to be an early one!
