Due to Hurricane Milton, the Clubhouse, tennis & pickleballs courts will be closed tomorrow until the storm passes and it’s safe to open. The golf course will be open until noon tomorrow, then close until cleanup efforts are completed.

Putting Demonstrations

Part 3 of 4 putting demonstrations by our Head Pro, Duncan Smith. These strategies can be used on all ages and skill levels and are designed to help create the correct curvature of the putt, improve green reading skills, and match the speed to that direction by practicing good fundamentals and proper contact. Shown here: Chalk line and the teeing ground are drawn to indicate the starting point for the putt. Eyeline golf ball is used to help visualize the ball performance. The feedback from a correctly struck putt with the correctly positioned face in relation to the start line will produce the true roll (no wiggle on the line on the ball). The ball tracks correctly on the putt line and enters the hole at the correct speed.

Shown here: Once the speed and line are correct, putting gates at different points along the putt line are placed to help with improving the skills

Shown here, Duncan is using the Perfect Putter track: Read the green before using the track. Decide on the ideal start line and match the speed to the intended curvature. Have the ball enter the hole at the correct pace. Repeat several times.
