This week I'm designing my first wedding since the loss of my life partner, Matty. They would be so proud to see how my event calendar is filling up.
I miss getting to show them the flowers I picked out at the market while they were sleeping. I miss them trying to remember flower names to impress me. I miss them bringing me treats during big work days. I miss having their help loading the car. I miss them cheering me on. I miss their big smile when I'd show them my finished designs.
Matty was this business' number one fan, and they got to watch it develop from the beginning. One of their favorite ways to participate was coming up with product names. They were a So Cal native flower expert ( ) and we enjoyed sharing our different flower knowledge with each other. I hope you're getting to sniff flowers wherever you are Matty.
