Pasadena we're open! We're prayed hard for the last few weeks and have decided to stay open for outdoor dining as well as delivery / takeout. We'd love to serve you all weekend via reservations and order in our link in bio.

Chef Tony is serving up all his favorites- juicy steaks, surf and turf, vegetarian penne pasta, monster salads. It's too nice to not be outside this weekend!

As I sit here at The Romanesque Room praying to a God that can redeem any situation, I pray for customers to serve tonight! I have one reservation for dinner. Clearly that us not enough to even turn on the lights, but that is what God calls me to do. Turn the light on to what this current shutdown has done to all restaurants let alone caterers. We must open, under a Peaceful Protest, some may not agree and that is your right, but for us we have no other option but to attempt to bring money into the storefront. So I leave it up to God and God’s people to support us, in person dining available tonight and tomorrow for brunch, take out, delivery & gift certificates are ways to support us as well. I am not one to ask for help, if you know anything about me I am the one giving the help, but today I am here and I need help. The question is will YOU help?

Why? We are fully up to code on all CDC guidelines and well, we miss cooking all your favorite meals! Whether it's filet mignon, vegan penne pasta, surf & turf with Chefs famous cheesecake, we'll have it all you this Friday and Saturday 5-9 and Sunday for brunch. We're taking reservations only and please come support not only us but our right to share the joy of the season!

At this week's Pasadena City Council meeting the Pasadena Public Health Department announced they are allowing continued outdoor dining in Pasadena.

So nothing has changed! We're still here to serve you! Praying for all those effected by yet another lockdown and all those without the ones they love this Thanksgiving.

Too early for a Christmas tree?

Lord, help us! As I end the night at our small business, The Romanesque Room in Pasadena. I am lost, I don't know why but clearly I am doing something wrong. We had only two diners tonight. Two employees with two owners to serve Two Guests. I am thankful and grateful for those two. But really after all we have been through, all that we have walked through, all those we have helped along the way. This is what we get? I am open to some feedback to anyone that knows us, knows what it is like to own a small business in California, those that know what it is like to have a restaurant that needs to follow these crazy insane guidelines. How do they expect that we or anyone in our situation can continue like this. We have lost an average of 25k a month since this all started. We are at our wits end. Lord, I repent, I beg you to show me, lead me, I will do anything to serve YOU! Light our footsteps and give me eyes to see them and clearly I need the strength to take them in faith. May tomorrow be anew one that is filled with joy and lots of customers to serve as you have designed us to do, in your honor and glory! Amen

We’re facing some tough decisions about the business. With so many restrictions it seems impossible to keep the doors of Hope Cafe and Catering open. We’ve reduced our staff to a minimum, been leaning hard on our amazing Pasadena community and have really been walking in faith.

Jesus walks with us everywhere we go. Thank God he led us here! The journey is what builds us as believers and we believe no matter what- everything will be ok!
