The deadline for submissions is August 2, and we are looking for paintings, drawings and mixed media that represent our great state. Contest winners will receive two tickets to our Made in Maryland Festival at Kurtz's Beach on Sunday, August 13, and their artwork will be showcased for festival attendees!

Today is the day! The Made In Maryland Festival kicks off at 11am at Kurtz Beach, Maryland today. Pretty Big Deal will be providing the tunes starting at 11:30am! The world-famous Eastport Oyster Boys play after us! It's gonna be a beautiful day! See you there!

Kurtz's Beach and Macaroni Kid Pasadena MD would like to thank everyone who participated in the Made in Maryland Student Art Contest! There were so many wonderful submissions, and we would like to give a special shoutout to our winners whose artwork will be on display at the festival this weekend:

Five and Under: Idalia Hobbs

Idalia is an animal loving girl who would like to be a veterinarian on a farm when she grows up. Idalia will be starting Kindergarten this Spring and is excited for school!

6 to 9: Clover Hicks

Clover is a 7-year old-artist who will be going into 2nd grade. She is from a military family and has lived all around the U.S. For the past year she had been able to call Maryland home. She instantly fell in love with the beaches, blue crabs, and all the beautiful nature Maryland has to offer.

10 to 13: Ileana Travaglini

Ileana Travaglini, an incoming 6th grader at Arundel Middle School, loves pineapples, scrunchies, and Squishmallows. An avid dancer, Ileana currently studies ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary at Design in Motion, where she is a member of their Artists in Motion 2 Dance Company. When not dancing, she can be found practicing her flute, drawing from YouTube tutorials, and playing Roblox with her friends. To Ileana, her family and friends mean everything, and nothing is better than a party.
