Alright y’all, I’m resurrecting my original Snip & Sip Class with Sunflowers 🌻

Ticket includes all flowers, container, instruction and supplies you'll need to create your own Sunflower floral design to take home. Bring your favorite adult beverage (or non-alcoholic) beverage to Sip while you Snip!

Limited seats remain!! Rachael Bond, owner and lead designer at Pine Hill Floral Design will be the featured speaker for our MSU Extension Coastal Floral demonstration and workshop on March 26 at the Mississippi State University Coastal Research and Extension Center!

The events are open to anyone with an interest in flower gardening, including home gardeners, floral designers, flower farmers and professional florists.

The demonstration begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m. Registration is $20 per person. The deadline to sign up is March 19. Seating is limited to 40 participants.

Following the demonstration, Bond will lead a workshop. It will be offered twice -- once from 2 to 4 p.m. and again from 4 to 6 p.m.

The workshop will teach attendees to make a floral design in a birch bark container using flowers that can be commonly found in Mississippi gardens. Participants will need to bring a pair of floral snippers. The container, flowers, and mechanics are provided as part of the registration fee.

Registration for the workshop is $95 per person. The deadline to sign up is March 19. Seating is limited to 10 participants in each workshop.

Bond is the owner and lead designer at Pine Hills Floral Design, a wedding and event florist. She is also the general manager of Pine Hills Nursery. Bond holds a Bachelor of Science from the MSU Department of Plant and Soil Sciences and is a third-generation horticulturist.

MSU Extension's 2024 Inspiring Designer is Rachel Bond, the owner and lead designer at Pine Hills Floral Design, a wedding and event florist, and the general manager of Pine Hills Nursery, Pass Christian, MS. Bond holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Mississippi State University Department of Plant and Soil Sciences and is a third-generation horticulturist. Her demonstration will highlight plant materials that can be grown for cut floral design purposes in the MS Coastal region. The hands-on classes will feature potted plant and cut flower components. Open to floral enthusiasts, Master Floral Designers, flower growers, gardeners, and anyone with interest in floral design. http://msuext.ms/floral.
