Mark your calendars!!! October 21st from 8pm-12am, we are partnering with Loren from Audiostone to bring you Dancing Through the Decades! Whether your favorite decade is the Roaring Twenties or Groovy 70's, throw on your best gear and dance the night away. This is a 21+ event and entry is FREE! All you need to do is show up and show out!! Throw on your favorite decade attire and we'll see you there!

We did a wedding tonight at Terrace View Event Center in Sioux Center. It was supposed to be an outdoor ceremony. When the weather didn’t allow this to happen, I watched the staff from the event center take the stage from reception head table to ceremony and back to head table in minutes. They worked so well with each other, and with the wedding party, that I thought this was noteworthy. I have the pleasure of working with so many incredible venues and staff, but in this instance especially, the effort made by these folks to accommodate the unfortunate circumstances deserves an additional round of applause. To Madison and the rest of the staff at Terrace View Event Center… VERY WELL DONE!!

Snuck in the annual Cherokee 5/6 and 7/8 grade last-day-of-school dance this week. The theme was “neon”. We set up our arsenal of UV lights and cranked some tunes to help them celebrate another year in the books. Just a side note; the bright colored speckles on the black facade in the bottom photo are little pieces of florescent tape. That was a great demonstration of the power of these UV lights.

Going through my photos today… Wow, what a year! I can only think about how blessed I am to be able to live my dream. Here are a few pictures that got lost on my phone and I thought I’d share. Action169 Daddy Daughter prom set at the Terrace View Event Center in Sioux Center. I am terrible about taking pictures during an event (I always forget), but we had both Bubblehaze machines mounted on the truss which gave the daughters a shower of haze-filled bubbles! So much fun, and such a great cause!! If anyone has any photos/videos from that night and would like to share, please do!!!

Corporate Event in the Awaysis Ballroom at King’s point resort. We provided background music, wireless mics, sound and video mixing/switching. My nephew and daughter took the lead on this one while me and my other daughter performed Storm Lake prom.

A friend of mine shot this at Sutherland Church of Christ’s Daddy Daughter Prom. Very cool event. It seems like the committee ups their game every year. The place looked amazing! The girls had a blast!!

Heard this song today… this CD lived in my 1987 Plymouth Reliant’s CD player during my senior year of high school. That is the magic of music. Songs seem to catalog memories in a way that when you hear a tune you haven’t heard in a long time, it queues the reminiscent footage and lets the good times roll. That’s exactly what Audiostone Entertainment sets out to do. Not only to play those songs that spark great memories, but more importantly, to capture your special day and create a soundtrack of its own.
