Raspberry Processing: Part Two! 🍓✨

Our freeze dryer just finished up with the vibrant, naturally beautiful raspberry pulp we set aside after making our delicious raspberry filling. This batch started as 10 pounds of rich, flavorful pulp—now ready to be transformed into something amazing!

One treat in the works? Raspberry white chocolate cupcakes! We’re perfecting the recipe just in time for our big reopening on February 4th, 2025. We can’t wait to share all the sweet surprises we’ve been crafting. Stay tuned!

We are thrilled to share some exciting news for 2025! For some, this might be an old story, but for others, we hope it brings a smile to your face.

The "GG" in GG Sweets originally came from our beloved restaurant, The Garden Griddle, which closed its doors in 2023. What we miss most about The Garden Griddle is seeing the smiles of our community as they enjoyed delicious eats. With that in mind, we’re excited to announce that we’re bringing that joy back under a new name: GG Sweets & Eats!

Starting February 4th, we will be offering features Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 1 PM. While we’ll operate on a smaller scale than The Garden Griddle, we’re staying true to our roots by focusing on quality and flavor.

Here’s what you can expect:

Takeout & Delivery: All orders will be available for takeout or delivery via DoorDash.

Rotating Menu: Our menu will be limited but will rotate weekly to keep things fresh and exciting.

Sweets Galore: Don’t worry—we’ll still be satisfying your sweet tooth cravings!

New Hours (Starting February 4th):

Tuesday to Friday: 9 AM - 4 PM (Lunch available from 10 AM - 1 PM)

Saturday: 9 AM - 2 PM

Today's winter project: processing 27 pounds of Michigan-grown raspberries from our friends at Hunt's Hillside! ❄️

Here’s how we make the most of every berry:
✨ First, we separate the juice from the pulp.
✨ The juice is transformed into smooth, seedless raspberry filling—perfect for our cake layers.
✨ The leftover pulp goes into the freeze dryer, where it’s turned into a vibrant raspberry powder.
✨ Finally, we sift out the seeds, leaving us with pure raspberry goodness!

We use this all-natural raspberry powder to replace artificial flavors and colors in cakes, ganache, mousse, frostings, breads, chocolates, truffles, and more! 🧁🍫 It’s our way of bringing Michigan’s fresh fruit into our treats all year long. 💕 Fun fact 27 pounds of raspberries will fit into two quart mason jars after we powder it.

❄️ Winter is here in full force, and wow, did we feel it this week! ❄️ But don’t worry—we’re cooking up something special to keep you warm and cozy. 🥣

As part of our big change for February when we reopen, we’re excited to give you a little sneak peek of what’s coming. This week, we’re testing the waters (or should we say the soups?) with hot takeout soup available Wednesday through Friday, from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Perfect for a quick lunch or a comforting break, these soups are scratch-made with love, just like everything we do. ❤️ Swing by, warm up, and let us know what you think—we’d love your feedback as we prepare to launch our new takeout lunch menu in the coming months.
