I am a full time working mom and an entrepreneur at heart that loves to stay as busy as possible. I have always had some type of desire for photography, especially when my mother bought me my first camera for my high school graduation present. We were almost taken captive by mosquitos-EEEK!

This weather has been phenomenal to shoot in (except the HOT weather we are currently experiencing) but so glad I was able to see these three girls because it has been too long!

Hey friends!!

I have been doing a ton of thinking lately about photography- the families and new friends I have found through it and the overall love I have photographing each and every one of you. Unfortunately though, I have found that as my children grow older and get more involved in sports/extracurriculars, I do not have much time left to spend on photography, especially after changing jobs at the company I have been working for. What does this mean you ask? Unfortunately, I have come to the fork in the road where decisions need to be made and I have decided to have this be my last year of photography. I’ll be photographing special projects only going forward which means my kiddos!!

For all inquiries, I will be providing referrals to those who closely match my work.

It has been a great 11+ years of constant growth and learning but now is the time where I need to be more present and focus my time to the fleeting moments and memories with our kids.

Hey friends!!!

I hope everyone has had an amazing winter thus far and you’re enjoying the Michigan sun that has finally decided to come out recently!

I wanted to let you know that I have started to book up for sessions this year and like last year, my availability will be limited with all of the extracurriculars that will be present. This is my PSA telling you to inquire about availability and to get your sessions scheduled for 2023 sooner, rather than later! My fall was still relatively insane last year and I would like to avoid missing my little ones’ events. I would encourage you to take advantage of getting your family pictures scheduled early!

Sometimes it's the outtakes for me...in this case the outtakes get put in the final gallery for some good laughs later on in life! Ha!

Luckily we were able to take advantage of a 50 degree day while the snow stayed around for a few days post storm! Still was cold but we had a good time and the bloopers in this gallery cracked me up and even after a second comb through, there were some expressions that are definitely in need of making a graduation appearance. HA!

Let's talk about that weather last weekend..... It made for the perfect backdrop for some family photos but man, going through this gallery showed me hard it truly was coming down! I am so thankful to have gotten this session in even if we had to take some snowfall breaks to readjust until the snow let up a bit.

Mr. H though.... he was the real MVP that day. Didn't whimper one time and although mostly serious, he sure was an adorable subject that day!

Pretty sure this session was around 74 degrees on Nov. 10th- WOW! Super glad we were able to take advantage of the great weather and quickly snag some updated photos for the Winans crew. Each year I am amazed at how big these kids get but each time, they show UP in a big way with posing and expressions.

What also amazes me is the light that comes through on their property which we have used year after year. I don't really need a huge landscape to work, just a space where we can shoot a little wide and tight with foliage draping around. Their location is like a little hidden gem. Always amazed at the final product!

Happy belated Thanksgiving and happy Black Friday!!! I hope everyone had a chance to take a break and eat until their pants no longer fit :-)

The Ball family had such a beautiful property and JUST for their session, I ordered some of that gorgeous, warm fall weather Michigan folk come to love every year (kidding of course).... but goodness, did the weather turn shortly thereafter!!

Catch up time on sneak peeks!

I had such a great time meeting the Wilson family this year and snagging a few revised photos of Zach. While he isn't technically a senior, I figured I would grab some new shots for him in the gorgeous weather. AND, thinking back on our Michigan fall, it really was gorgeous especially now that we have the white stuff falling (which I also love too- great reflector by the way- HINT, HINT).

I am still shooting this winter so if you would like to snag some photos, be sure to reach out! It may be cold...... but we can still have some fun!

Two weeks ago and this session was in some of the most beautiful weather and light. With the snow falling, it no longer feels like "the other day" and I barely even remember the the fall season.... seems like it sped by all too fast! HOWEVER, I had such a great time photographing the Tenter family and gosh, these kiddos are so darn cute. So many sneak peeks to choose from but these were a few of my favorites I quickly edited!

I know there are concerns about past fall color peak sessions but I can promise you, no matter the backdrop or location the lighting is perfect! Case in point for the rest of my fall sneak peeks.

ahhh!!!!! The Bonita family + one addition.....Snoop dog!! or is it Snoop D. O. double G?! :-) Snoop was such a sweetheart especially with how packed Al Sabo was a few weeks ago with photographers and other doggos coming and going!

Senior #6! Meet Ella! When we first met, she told me she was not photogenic and I would have to disagree...hopefully you agree with me too because she made it EASY.

Thank you to everyone who reached out and allowed me to capture such a momentous occasion this year for your families. It always means so much to have clients trust me and each year, it brings me new growth and lessons/techniques learned. Despite doing this for just shy of 11 years, I still learn!

I hope that next year I have some more 2024 seniors come my way (wink, wink) because it has been an absolute pleasure working with each and every one of them. And if your junior is a 2024 senior, reach out because you get first pick on days location(s)!

Ahhhh! Finally getting the Wanczowski family in front of my lens after almost a year of poor weather, COLD weather, covid, covid again, and poor weather a few weekends ago. BUT finally.... I HAVE managed to get them on one of the last few beautiful weekends we were able to have. What an absolutely beautiful day, no doubt!

Thank you fam for sticking with me and being willing to move your session to this fall. I know we may have missed out on some of the smaller moments with Mr. L., but we have some great moments now! I sure had a great time catching up (although brief) and also laughing my way through your session!!

The adrenaline rush kicked in right before this session because we had to race to beat the sudden change of forecast. I cannot believe how quickly the weather changed- no rain to 70% or more right when we were set to begin. GAH! I had to pivot on my plans to go far into the preserve but luckily we could stay at the front and snag some of really great shots while staying dry as the rain began.

Carr family, thank you for allowing me year after year to photograph your sweet family. They set into position so quickly with little direction. GOODNESS- You make it far too easy!

A little rain did not stop us from making this session happen! I know I say this all the time but I do truly feel fortunate for return clients each year. It is a blessing to see these kiddos grow up year after year and it makes me feel all the more old with how quickly time seems to pass. Lincoln is no exception to growing 6" each year and I hope that maybe someday he can look back at all of these precious moments with his momma.... when it was cool to still snuggle in and get hugs, learn how to slow dance in the forest, and laugh in the rain.

Meet the Wadas family! This session has been in the making for over a year and we FINALLY made it happen. The weather was absolutely perfect for October and I am ever so grateful to have been able to get this beautiful family in front of my lens especially after several reschedules and nasty end of fall weather that worked against us.

and....I could show you the "look at me" photos but I find these in the moment photos to be my absolute favorite. There is something to be said about those giggles that can be heard through a photograph, the snuggles or eskimo kisses being had, and I certainly cannot forget the smiles of everyone involved.

Thank you Wadas family. It as an absolute pleasure officially getting to meet you and your beautiful girls.

I don't always do extended sessions but when I do, they turn out pretty darn awesome like this! They are usually chaotic and I am all over the place because of all the photo opportunities- HA! I mean seriously, how cute is Grandma and Grandpa together right here?! CUTE RIGHT?! Because my mind is mush, I have completely forgotten how long they have been married but they were just the sweetest ever!

Let's also talk about the kiddos here too! Not just the little ones either... because we already know they are pretty darn adorable alone. SO many favorites from this session!!

Meet the McCrary family! It is always an absolute pleasure to photograph new families each year and so great to get to know them during each session too! The weather was absolutely gorgeous on this day and Miss Autumn surprised me with her ability to naturally pose without much direction (LOVE). When she's ready for senior photos, she will be well seasoned I think!

Senior #5- Meet Ellie!

She legit rocked her session and might have a future in modeling with how quickly she was able to adjust and readjust during her session taking the same pose a little further but different from the last. It makes a photographer's job super easy!! I loved getting to know Ellie as time went on and loved having her in front of my lens!

After how well her session went, I am a little sad that my senior season is over but excited for the next several weeks full of families and little ones but now I just need Mother Nature to cooperate!
