With a heavy heart I am so broken to hear of Jay Lane’s passing . The thousands of phone calls and text messages, the instant. Peace of mine I got when I knew he had the details. The art of always making you feel your job, your event was the only one he was working on. He was a master of juggling all. He loved his beach and Mondays. Cooking and taking his team to the theatre. Damn it I still have the Red Sox tickets for you Jay. For all my clients who always loved the flowers , how they magically appreared, no fuss, no drama it was always because of Jay and his team at Golden gate! Jay touched all of us even though we did not know. He loved the fact that I was spending more visits with family in Ireland. A place he had so many “top of the morning” stories. There is no words other than heaven just gained an excellent designer and a great great man.

Love you to eternity and back! We all shall meet again☘️☘️☘️

So I was able to check off yet another happening on my bucket list. We were in Philadelphia this week and being the History buff that I am, we went to Independence Hall and stood in the very same room where the likes of George Washington, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson John Adams and many other founding fathers of the constitution convened. It was remarkable to know the hall hadn’t changed and was preserved as it was during the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the drafting of the articles of confederation. For me, it’s a very moving event as whenever I have the opportunity to be in the very same physical space where historical acts have been committed. My mind takes me back as I recall all the books and many of the words I have read that were said during that time in history. What a great experience!

Make Waves or just enjoy an “Evening Under the Sea”. Hundreds of guests enjoyed a living Aquarium as it framed the entrances creating the perfect photo ops. Led by a sea of bubbles the guests made their way through a tunnel opening up to the bottom of the sea. Gigantic jellyfish, floor the ceiling bubbles, tensile structures , centerpieces and so much more.
An evening they all will remember!
