Seed collecting is one my favorite things to do.
This is amaranth! I’m so impressed that it grew!

Now I’m collecting the seeds to start next spring.

Over the years, I’ve learned that buying new seeds every year is not smart. Not smart because it can get very expensive. And also, seeds collected from your crops will preform better than buying new seeds of the same thing every year.

The plants did well in the garden, which means that it had time to acclimate to its environment and produce a more resilient seed for the fallowing year.

I’m excited to collect all the seeds. And I’m sure it will make my husband very happy to know that I won’t have a large seed budget for the fallowing growing season 😂.

Who needs landscapers when you have goats. Jk. I still need to mowe my lawn. And pull weeds. But here’s a super cool fact. Goats eat the tops of invasive plants before they eat the rest of the stock. And that is to prevent seeds from spreading. #themoreyouknow #goats #weeds
