Let me tell you about Emily and Steve. They got hitched in a big beautiful wedding on Labor Day weekend this year. I remember so clearly last year when I had the opportunity to tour Emily's parents, Julie and Paul. It was a last-minute scheduled tour, and I said pop in tomorrow and I'll show you around.

Julie and Paul arrived with so many questions and so much energy. The biggest challenge they were facing in helping their daughter plan was the size of the celebration and their desire to create a really unique experience.

Their key question: we love the venue how we can host 275 people with a huge band and the ability to choose our own vendor team.

My key answer: I've got you.

Julie, Paul, and I spent the next few months figuring out what that meant. We brought in a critical partner to the success of their event, our neighbor .

We laid the plans for the weekend together: the family would rent all eight rooms at the Inn. They would host their welcome dinner and next day brunch and after party at the property. They would utilize the outdoor patio for their large group to do an outdoor ceremony, weather permitting.

Guests would march down Main Street, second line style, one block from the inn to our property after the ceremony for cocktails, dinner, and dancing.

We spent a lot of time making a rain plan and talking about layout.

And oh how special it was in ex*****on.
