We are far from finished filling our deck for CONpossible 2024 - "The Jungles of Venus"! Be it fortune, fool, stars or temperance, there are no two cards quite like longtime friends Madame Askew and the Grand Arbiter!

Madame Askew is a time-traveling tea aficionado, obsessed with tea, fashion, and the proper uses for headgear. She is often the center of tea-inspired escapades, particularly Tea Dueling and Splendid Teapot Racing, and a great advocate of Compliment Dueling. However, Madame loves nothing so much as meeting the charming and talented individuals she encounters in her journeys across time, space, and tea houses in every dimension. When Madame is not preoccupied with tea or training interns in her laboratory, she operates a small atélier where she creates fanciful and charming bespoke garments for discerning gentlepersons.

The Grand Arbiter is the highest authority on compliments, wit, and Tea-based Justice. Not only is the Grand Arbiter an enthusiast of the fine art of Tea Dueling and the splendours of Splendid Teapot Racing, but he is also a vocal proponent for extraordinary waistcoats paired with the perfect coiffure. He is also an Avatar of Chaos, but one rarely mentions that at a proper tea. With his penchant for entropy, tumult, and cunning, it can be no surprise that the Grand Arbiter spends his time away from the tea table creating table games. When not walking his widow’s walk in far off Cascadia or judging matters of honor, he is normally found entertaining many with his wit and humor.

For over 10 linear earth-years, they and the delightful members of the Temporal Entourage have enjoyed adventures across time and space, and hope you will join them at CONpossible 2024 - "The Jungles of Venus" February 16-18, 2024 at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast!

Have you started pinning, primping, and steaming your finery for the Venusian Masked Ball? We've enjoyed seeing what our newsletter, blog, and community members have been teasing, and we can't wait to see what YOU will be wearing to CONpossible 2024 — "The Jungles of Venus"!

Our Venusian Masquerade Ball (see what we did there?) will be held on Friday, Feb 16th, 2024 starting at 7pm EST with special performances by Atlanta Historic Dance! The night will begin with a choreographed number by members of Atlanta Historic Dance, and continue with the promenade, a series of reels, and circle dances geared towards beginning level dancers. If you have always wanted to learn traditional historic dance, this will be your finest opportunity! Intermediate level dancing will follow for those who are interested, and the festivities will linger long into the night with a special late-night dance immediately following the ball.

We will also be hosting a Costume Contest for the Best Masquerade Costume to mark the transition between the formal ball and open dancing. This is an all ages and all experience levels event, so dust off those top hats, buff your dancing shoes, and join us for the inaugural night of CONpossible 2024! ⚙️ 2024 GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT! ⚙️

Have you made your plans for February 16-18, 2024 yet? You just might be interested in the next card we have in our deck -- and trust us, there's no better noun we could use to describe John F. Strangeway than as a card!

Strangeway is a cosplayer, chainmail artist, and convention personality who hails from the Atlanta, GA area. Perhaps most well known as the Steampunk Boba Fett, Strangeway has a historied background in cosplay culture, beginning with his humble New Jersey origin story. Going as far back as ten years old painting his older brother's Warhammer Blood Angels squad while listening to Rush, Strangeway can't remember a time when he wasn't interested in sci-fi and fantasy. From his wide range of fandoms came a Star Wars and Steampunk crossover that would inspire music, fan films, and eventually even get his image officially licenced by Star Wars, thanks to artist Brian Kessinger. Since its 2009 debut at Dragon Con, the Steampunk Boba Fett has redefined both fandoms and gone down in infamy as one of the most widely recognized Steampunk cosplay images.

Thanks to all of this, Strangeway has had the privilege of being invited to most major conventions all across the US, where he has been able to do what he loves the most: make friends from all around the globe, and inspire others to break out of their shell.

Captain Billbill Harrison needs no introduction, but we will endeavor to do our best to give him one anyway. Esteemed showrunner, Steampunk figure, owner of the Venusian Airship Pirates Trading co. and volunteer at nearly every convention and exposition in the Southeast, Capt. Billbill Harrison is one of the most beloved figures in the southeastern convention circuit and beyond. Besides being a darling human being and delightful chap to chat with over a mug of good grog, Capt. Billbill is a wonderful craftsman of Steampunk props and weaponry, and many of his creations can be seen hanging from the belts of cosplayers the world over. He also has a brilliant mind for fiction, and can spin a yarn of his own to delight and engage or share in sharp detail the synopsis of any alternate history or speculative fiction novel you care to hear about. His interests don't stop there, as his long career includes education in music, pyrotechnics, puppetry, and so much more. Truly, there isn't much he cannot do, and so we are beyond excited to have him joining us at Terminus Manor for our weekend holiday February 16-18, 2024!

We're sweeping the halls and laying out the red carpets at Terminus Manor, in preparation for all our fine guests this coming February. "I am Anna ‘Sirkles’ Drahos, and the style of art I’ve been developing since middle school has become my full time job! While my art may look like a bunch of abstract circles, the designs are actually the words and letters of an intricate circular script. This script started in 2011 when my friend, Loren Sherman, released the first ever widely used fan-made variation ‘Circular Gallifreyan.’ Not long after, I was listed on Loren’s site as the recommended artist for custom designs, and my number system was adopted. Since that time, I’ve watched the script grow, change, inspire other scribes, and even appear on my favorite TV show, Doctor Who!

It’s a common misconception that my artwork and script is taken from Doctor Who, because quite the opposite is true; We made the script, and then it got so popular among the fandom that the show eventually used it! This script isn’t an official or canon part of any one specific fandom (even Doctor Who). It’s just a highly flexible and artistic script inspired by the inner workings of a pocket watch and crop circles. This makes it quite easy to mimic the look of the abstract circle art used to represent the language of the time lords in Doctor Who. But, it also is useful for making artworks that lean more into a steampunk feel, or even an arcane/mystic circle. With some slight modifications, I can use the same script to complement any art style."
