All our lovely couples who are planning a wedding, we have a new tip for you! 🌟

Something new we’ve been doing on our timeline is cutting the cake immediately after your first dances. We LOVE how this plays out and highly recommend this activity to happen earlier in the evening. Check out some of our thoughts on how this works for the future 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

🍰Smoother Flow: Transitioning from your first dance to the cake cutting keeps the momentum going and avoids any awkward pauses in the festivities. Your guests attention is already up front on either: the bride + groom, bride + father or mother + groom. It’s so easy to direct the attention of the room from the dance floor right over to the wedding cake!

🍰Better Photo Opportunities: You’ll be in the spotlight, looking fabulous after your dance, which makes for some amazing cake-cutting photos.

🍰Timing for Guests: Once dinner is served, you’re going to have some guests finish before others. Cutting the cake earlier in the evening allows those who finish before the last table called, to go ahead and enjoy their dessert. There are also guests who might need to leave early, now they can still enjoy a piece of cake, ensuring everyone gets to share in the sweetness.

🍰Perfect Dessert Table: Too many times have we seen a stray cupcake or other type of dessert go missing from the table before the official cake cutting is done. ✨how rude ✨ Your dessert table will stay picture-perfect until you cut the cake, avoiding any pre-cake chaos

This timing trick keeps everything running smoothly and makes sure everyone, especially you, enjoys every moment!

In my Healing Era ✨

Working with brides and their families has been the best job I could do for the last 40 years. I’ve met some incredible people and have had the honor of being a part of so many stories. With that said, it’s now time for me to take a back seat and let my team take over for a while. Not many know, but ive had a stroke and I need to take care of myself.

If you have worked with me then you 100% have met my daughter, Elizabeth. She is just like me and will be the face of TWDL team until further notice. I’ll still be involved with brides and planning but Elizabeth will be stepping forward and taking over the “physical” aspects of this job. She is just as motivated as I am to making your day as special as you deserve. I have absolutely no doubt she will take care of you just as I would, after all, I trained her 🩷

I want to thank you all for trusting me to make this hard decision knowing that I’ll have your full support. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes! I am praying to make a full recovery and for the doctors to find the solution to stop any further strokes from happening. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you 💖

Are you one of those Millennials/Gen Zers who HATES calling and making your own doctors appointments? 😩 Maybe you’re a type 1 and you know you cant be 100000% present on your wedding day like you want to be, but don't trust Aunt Karen to oversee the most important details.
Hiring a wedding planner and/or coordinator is one of the BEST investments for your wedding. We can do as little as you want us to or plan every detail down to who will turn off the lights at your venue when you exit.
Just need someone to get you and your bridal party down the aisle? We gotta package for that! Need someone to schedule appointments with vendors, handle confrontations and go with you to meetings to help make some decisions? We gotta package for that! How about you don't know where the heck to start, know nothing about how to get in touch with a DJ/Florist/Caterer and don't know why everyone is so insistant about a seating chart? We gotta package for that! ✔️
