You're probably wondering how we got here...

Fred and Joana were so special to me. They defied the phrase I find myself saying often: that your wedding day is the only day you'll get the closest people together to celebrate your love. But, they got a second day where those same people were present, because they asked me to help plan and design their 50th wedding anniversary. I've never seen two people more in love so many years after they said "I do". They trusted me, they loved me, and they let me showcase their love story.

So, when it was time to reveal their intimate space for the first time, Fred came over and bowed into position to kiss my hand which took me totally by surprise! This was followed by the warmest embraces full of heartfelt gratitude.

I love love, guys. THIS is what it's all about.

Ooooo I love a good theme! When tasked with designing a vibrant, tropical welcome for a destination wedding, I immediately envisioned combining the charm of old Havana with bold splashes of color and sleek, modern furnishings. The full florals cascaded out of an authentic cigar box, blending together in a harmony of textures and color. Guests wore guayabera and panama fedoras along with striking tropical patterns and brilliant hues!

Your business luncheon doesn't need to be boring. Try elevating the tabletop with simple decor (think minimalistic and clean lines) so that it remains functional. Comfortable chairs can also be stunning, so don't settle for your corporate banquet chair if you're looking to impress. Nixing the polyester velcro table skirt for a seamless specialty table can also work wonders if you're looking to keep the tabletop feeling open.

🌸 🇪🇸 See you in Spain! When the incredibly kind Lisa Morales asked me to help plan her bridal shower, she envisioned a travel-themed celebration... little did we know that years later, she'd be living in that very place with her beautiful family! Collaborating with such talented individuals on this design meant we were able to create intentional details and out of the box concepts. We transported the dinner setting to a lush river shore and embraced every bit of the aesthetic. Dusty blue cheesecloth and copper pipe candlestick holders? Yes, please. Floral accented boat oars and oyster shell calligraphy? Need!

Oh Baby! 💜💙💛💗 "There is fun to be done!"
Bringing the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss to life for this adorable "Oh, the Baby You'll Grow" themed baby shower was so fun! From vibrant pops of color to charming Seuss-inspired decor, every detail was carefully selected to evoke a sense of childlike wonder and storybook whimsy. The allium flower balls and custom vinyl vessels paired so perfectly with our seussical pastel colored linens and grand polystyrene centerpieces. The venue aesthetic (carpeting and blush colored ceiling) were not an accident in designing cohesively either! 🌟👶

You can't tempt me with a theme and not expect us to go all out. I'm pretty sure we bought the entire peach section of the grocery store this day to make this celebration extra "sweet"! I had fun designing with the family to create not only a custom menu but fun titles for each course.

CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET?
Ohhhhh, I had the best time planning this SURPRISE celebration for Pam Sowder! Hosted on the incredible multi-million dollar mega yacht Seafair, I wanted the invitations to capture the surprise element of the party. Working with Card Cottage, we designed a playful "peekaboo" reveal: a belly band and wax seal secured the bright pink foil text that read "Can you keep a secret?" Guests had to slide out the card to uncover the hidden phrase "loose lips sink ships"—a fun play on words (that's so me!) Since Pam is known as the "Queen of Fun," I created a custom emblem featuring a feminine crown, combining fonts and colors that were bold, sexy, and elegant—just like her!

I love puns, so when we decided to greet guests with a fitting alcoholic Arnold Palmer cocktail as they arrived to a renown golf resort, we used the groom's name and the bride's maiden name to properly entice guests to take a sip. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Oh, and no signature cocktail is complete without custom edible drink topper!

So, you came for the vows... but you stayed for the dance-off! ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​If there's a party prop that I will never have leftover of at the end of the night, it's foam glow sticks! Guests go crazy over these, and when you pair it with some light up glasses, cold spark machines, party lighting, and some killer dance moves, you can't go wrong.

The guys should be able to have fun getting ready, too!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​When Reagan and Juan told me they had been together since meeting in high school, I knew they'd have plenty of memories to share. One of the early suggestions was to have photos of the two of them featured in Juan's jacket lining, which made for the most personalized piece of "something old" AND "something new".

When designing a wedding, I always enjoy crafting elements that work together harmoniously. Creating a cohesive look by repeating these elements throughout the event ensure a design consistency that feels purposeful and even fun. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I conceptualized these "napkin buckle" menus that echoed the invitation design's peekaboo cutout with matching upper and lower cutouts of the menu. Each course was separated by icons from the dance floor wrap design (swipe to see how these were also added to the cake as a full charm piece), and a laser-cut RJ monogram allowed the black satin napkin to subtly shine through, mirroring the same monogram design elements found in the invitation.

A white ripple textured linen from BBJ, along with silver flared charger plate worked perfectly for this color scheme.

✨ Almost too pretty to dance on... allllllmost! This custom dance floor wrap featured the monogram and fleur de lis-inspired pattern for something modern and sleek looking. To stay this feature was a showstopper is an understatement. I trusted Grant and his team at Wrap My Floor to seamlessly wrap the dance floor in this custom pattern that echoed elegance and edginess. The balance of black with white accents was perfect for our black draped room by CBK. Swipe to see the dance floor in all its glory and to see how we even mirrored the pattern onto the LED DJ facade. This pattern's elements also made an appearance on the welcome itinerary and menu to keep the entire guest experience cohesive.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

This wedding was all about layers, so our centerpiece designs varied from extra tall, tall, and medium, with decor elements that led your eye both upward and downward in each design. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Here, we see the extra tall exposed metal "tree" design filled with florals and cascading petals and crystals, leading your eye downward to a specialty "donut" style table with round pavé bud vases and candles. The height of the structure and its hollow nature allowed for an easy line of sight across the table!

We had these pieces flanking the dance floor for the ultimate "wow" anchors.
