Built in the early 1900s, IOB was reconstructed in Pendleton from Starr in Anderson County; Its history is what makes it so unique to our community.

We're on the road this weekend supporting the Agricultural Museum of South Carolina at Jocassee Valley Brewing Company - Salem, SC! Come get a plate of chicken or a tasty brat in celebration of Samhain and Appalachian Homecoming.

Join us at Jocassee Valley Brewing Company - Salem, SC this weekend (November 1st & 2nd) for their Appalachian Homecoming and Samhain Harvest Festival.

Southern Appalachian and Irish dishes served up by our neighbors from Iron Oak Barn starting at 1 p.m. both days. We'll be demonstrating smithing alongside other old-time crafters from OPUS Trust at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The Iron Oak Barn

The Iron Oak Barn is a celebration of agricultural history in South Carolina. The McGee Mule Barn, an important heritage landmark located in Starr, is a structure of great historic value for Anderson County and for the state of South Carolina. The McGee family ran a highly successful business out of this barn, exporting mules, the tractors of their day, across SC and the South. There is even on office inside where literal "stock traders" ran the mule business prior to WWII. As you walk through the barn, you can feel the weight of its important history. This barn will be restored to its former glory on the grounds of the Agricultural Museum to be used as an educational piece and event space for corporate gatherings, concerts, weddings, and more.
