I was watching Mama Sues Southern Kitchen a couple of weeks ago and she made a pound cake that I could not stop thinking about! So quick and easy and Sue even said it was wonderful even without a glaze. Now hold on a minute Mama Sue…no glaze AND it’s the best pound cake ever??? Well, I baked it today and Mom & I had a piece for “recess” as Momma calls it! 😁 It is truly divine! And if you haven’t followed Momma Sues page, be sure to do so on Facebook! Momma Sues Butter Pecan Pound Cake

1 box Butter Pecan Cake Mix
4 eggs (she uses 3 but i always use 4 when usung a boxed cake mix)
1 cup water
1/3 cup oil
1 Tablespoon Butter Pecan Flavoring (optional but i recently got my PK Elixer order and it was one of her new flavorings)
1 container Coconut Pecan Frosting

Spray your bundt pan with nonstick spray. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

In your mixing bowl, add your cake mix, eggs, oil, water and flavoring; best until combined. Add the container of frosting and mix well.

Pour into you bundt pan and bake 45-50 min until cake tests done. Let cool 10 min and then turn out onto plate. Cut and enjoy!

Strawberry Swirl Gooey Cake Bars

Spray 9 x 13 pan with nonstick spray.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Base:

1 box Duncan Hines Signature Strawberry Cake Mix

1 stick butter, melted

1 egg

Place all in mixing bowl and blend until mixed and forms a dough.

Press into pan.

Cream Cheese Layer:

8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 stick butter, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups confectioners sugar

Blend in mixing bowl and spread over strawberry base layer.

Pipe strawberry cake filling on top of the cream cheese mixture and gently swirl with a knife.

Bake on 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Cool for about 30 minutes, cut and enjoy! Refrigerate any leftovers.
