There will be fireworks this year. "Gates" will open at 5. Peoria Municipal Band at 8PM, followed by an all new 16-minute fireworks show. Thank you for supporting YOUR Peoria Park District.

Exciting Announcement: The outdoor garden at Luthy Botanical Garden is now open daily from 10am-5pm. Admission to the Garden is free and entrance gates can be found off the Garden parking lot. We hope to see you out soon!

Make plans to join us this evening for the final Municipal Band concert of the season. The show begins at 7:00pm. Root beer floats and other treats will be available in the concession.

We are tremendously excited about our 3rd of July festivities at the Glen Oak Amphitheatre! Gates will open at 4 p.m., with entertainment all the way up until the fireworks! We have the Peoria ballet, JC and the Redemption, the Peoria Municipal Band and others! There will be plenty of food from all our favorite vendors, and the fireworks show is sure to impress!
Please remember, that if you plan on parking your car inside Glen Oak Park, just as in recent years, there will be a $5 per-car parking charge to help offset the tremendous cost of the fireworks and the event. We thank you for your support, and we look forward to you being our guests! Please share this post and spread the word!

Because there are several family film series that are offered elsewhere in our community, the Peoria Park District will not be offering Family Flicks for 2019. Check out our latest event! Next Thursday (August 9th), is our second concert in our "Sunset Concerts" series! Come see "JC and The Redemption" light up the stage!
This 11-piece band was formed in 2012 by drummer and bandleader Jeremy Clark. Clark desired to play in a high caliber Funk band featuring a professional-grade horn line that played all the classic Funk, Soul and Stax charts. The band is influenced by Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Blood Sweat and Tears, and Hornheads, among others. JC and The Redemption operates out of Peoria, IL.

Tickets are $5 and gates open at 7!!

We would like to take this opportunity to wish Doris Snyder a happy early birthday! She will be 110 on August 10th. Doris has been attending the Peoria Municipal Band in the Amphitheatre since she was a young adult. Her favorite part about being here, is seeing all the people. She says that she meets the nicest people while at the concert and it is a very pretty setting. She also feels that the Amphitheatre is such a wonderful asset for the East Bluff, and the music is wonderful!
