I see I have a few more 'Likes' on my page! Welcome and Thank You! For those of you that are not familiar with me already, I thought I'd give you some insight into my background and how I got started officiating weddings!
So I graduated college in 2008 and fell into the hospitality industry, specifically banquets/weddings. I currently have over 10 years experience in the banquet/wedding/hospitality industry, having held various positions: server, bartender, banquet manager, and event sales/coordinator! I have seen weddings from all sides!
However, having been in the industry for so long, I decided to change career directions a few years ago. The wedding industry is still in my blood though, and when my sister got married a few years back, she was trying to figure out who could do their ceremony and I joked that I could get ordained online....and so I did! I wrote their ceremony and added in personal touches for them and surprised them with a motorcycle rider themed poem about love! They loved it! I loved it! It was a great feeling! A couple years later I did ceremonies for a couple of friends/co-workers and it was still an amazing feeling for me!
So when the pandemic hit this last year, I didn't know if I'd still have a job or end up with my salary cut, so I came up with a contingency plan and started to put myself out there as a wedding officiant. I ended up performing 6 wedding ceremonies between June and October of 2020! I am so thankful for my bridal couples this last summer/fall!
All in all, I have 9 wedding ceremonies under my belt. It's not as much as some of the other people out there, but what I can offer is my many years of experience in the industry as well as my willingness to customize your ceremony and make it special for you!---*One of my couples last year wanted me to tell the story of their first date, after they had met on Tinder, it was great and so much fun to add in!*
