Last year we launched a Fundraising Show, A Christmas Carol, at Corn Stock. In many ways this show was a huge success and this year we want to continue to put this show on as a way to raise money at Corn Stock. We have put together a task force made up of different members of the Fundraising, Marketing, & Winter Selection Committees.

This task force is in charge of selecting a director, quality & consistency of the show, and bringing all three committees together to add some elements to the atmosphere before, during and after the show to raise money for the new tent.

This year we are opening up submissions to our Theatre Community to allow anyone interested to submit their vision for this new tradition.

Submissions for A Christmas Carol will be open until April 11th. We hope you will consider submitting!

For anyone coming to Corn Stock: Nebraska is closed between Sterling and Park. If you normally get here from Sterling, you will need to go to Farmington Rd. If you use Google maps- it currently shows Nebraska as open. Don’t follow it! If you use Apple Maps, it does show Westbound closed, however it does show eastbound as open. This is semi-true. It says you can turn on to Oatley to get here, this is not true. Oatley is closed. Just go around to save yourself the headache. This construction will last into the summer. Nebraska is open between University and Park.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of True West on a fabulous run! Thank you to these talented folks for bringing this American classic to the Corn Stock stage. And a special thank you to everyone who came out to see the show, we can't do what we do to an empty theatre - thank you!

Meet the cast of True West! Celeste Matheson, who plays Mom, is thrilled to be performing once again at the Winter Playhouse! Some of her most favorite past roles have been Vern in Five Le****ns Eating a Quiche here at the Lab, Rosie in Peoria Player's production of Mamma Mia, and Paulette in last summer's Corn Stock production of Legally Blonde. Heartfelt thanks to Blake for giving her a chance to spread her acting wings and grow with such a stellar cast and crew.

Y'all are getting real good at guessing these upcoming Winter Shows! So how about this: our third show of the 2025-2026 Winter Season is a "Trivial Comedy for Serious People." It was first produced in London on Valentines Day in 1895. It has since been adapted for film at least 3 times, including one with Dame Judi Dench. This classic has two supporting characters who’s names inspired Neil Simon to use the same names for two of his supporting characters in his smash hit “The Odd Couple.”
